Overview
Panjab University traces its origins to the University of the Punjab established in 1882 at Lahore, and was re-established at Chandigarh under the Panjab University Act of 1947. Its 550-acre campus is spread across Sector 14 and Sector 25 in Chandigarh. The university runs 74 teaching departments along with a large network of affiliated colleges.
