Overview
NIT Warangal was established in 1959 as the Regional Engineering College Warangal, the first of the chain of Regional Engineering Colleges set up across India. It became a National Institute of Technology in 2002. The institute has a fully residential campus spread over about 250 acres at Hanamkonda in Telangana. Its 13 departments offer eight undergraduate and around 35 postgraduate programmes, besides doctoral research.
