Overview

SVNIT Surat was established in 1961 as the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering and Technology, one of the Regional Engineering Colleges set up to impart technical education across the country. It became a National Institute of Technology in 2002 and an Institution of National Importance in 2007. The institute is located in Surat, Gujarat. It now offers eleven B.Tech and twenty-one M.Tech programmes, three five-year integrated M.Sc programmes, a five-year integrated B.Tech-M.Tech programme and an MBA.
