Overview
NIT Nagaland was set up by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan and started functioning from the 2010 academic year. In its early years it was mentored by NIT Silchar and operated from the Silchar campus. The institute is now based at Chumukedima in Nagaland and offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes. Its departments include civil, computer science, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, electronics and instrumentation, and mechanical engineering.
