Overview
NIT Kurukshetra was established in 1963 as the Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra, a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the Government of Haryana under the Third Five Year Plan. It began functioning on its present campus in Kurukshetra from 1965-66. The college was upgraded to a National Institute of Technology with deemed university status on 26 June 2002. It offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and PhD programmes across engineering, science and management.
