XAT 2027 form correction opens October 16: you get 2 days to fix mistakes

If you already submitted the XAT 2027 form, this week gives you a short chance to fix it. XLRI Jamshedpur opens the first correction window on October 16, and it closes on October 17. Two days is all you get, so do not leave it for the last evening.
The window is only for candidates who already registered and paid. If you have not applied yet, registration stays open until December 6, 2026. The exam is on January 3, 2027, from 2 pm to 5 pm.
What you can change
The correction window covers most of the form except identity details. You can edit your academic details, including percentage or CGPA in graduation, passing year, and the name of your university or college. You can update work experience, including its length and the employer name. Test city preference and the order of preference can be changed. If your uploaded photograph or signature came out blurry or low resolution, you can replace them with clearer files.
Personal details are also editable. That includes home address, parents names, gender and nationality. You can change your XLRI programme choices between Business Management and Human Resource Management, and you can revise the declaration.
What stays locked
Five fields cannot be edited in this window: full name, date of birth, registered email ID, registered mobile number and payment status. Check these when you log in. If one of them is wrong, the correction window will not fix it.
How to edit the form
Go to the official XAT portal and log in with your XAT user ID or email ID and password. Click on “Edit Application Form - Phase 1”. The form opens in tabs for personal details, academics, work experience and test city preferences. Make the changes you need, re-upload the photograph or signature if the old files were unclear, and check every field on the preview page. Press submit to lock the updated application, then save the new confirmation slip.

What comes next
The XAT registration fee is Rs 2,300, plus Rs 200 for each XLRI programme you select. XAT scores are used by XLRI and other participating institutes for MBA and PGDM admissions. Admit cards are expected on December 20, 2026, though that date is tentative.
