याद है वो boring theory classes जहां आप सोचते थे, “यह सब कब काम आएगा?” अब Uttar Pradesh ने इस सवाल का जवाब दे दिया है।
जल्द ही UP के हर engineering और polytechnic student को कम से कम दो mandatory industrial visits complete करनी होंगी। कोई exception नहीं। Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel ने मंगलवार की review meeting में यह साफ कर दिया, और सच कहूं तो यह होना ही चाहिए था।
आपके लिए यह इतना Important क्यों है?
Patel ने साफ शब्दों में कहा कि engineering students को अब सिर्फ textbooks तक सीमित नहीं रखा जा सकता। देखिए क्या होने वाला है:
Civil Engineering students? आप जाएंगे expressway construction sites, tunnel projects और dam sites पर। भूल जाइए diagrams को। आप देखेंगे कि असली bridge कैसे बनता है।
Mechanical and Electrical students? तैयार हो जाइए EV manufacturing plants और industrial units के लिए। आप देखेंगे actual production lines, सिर्फ PowerPoint slides नहीं।
यह कोई random announcement नहीं है। बहुत से graduates interviews में जाते हैं और उन्हें अपनी field के बारे में कुछ पता नहीं होता। Companies लगातार इसकी complaint करती हैं। यह move उस gap को graduation से पहले ही भरने की कोशिश है
AI Courses भी आ रहे हैं (आखिरकार)
Meeting में सिर्फ site visits की बात नहीं हुई। Officials ने confirm किया कि वे Infosys जैसी companies के साथ AI-based courses develop कर रहे हैं।
यह क्यों matter करता है? क्योंकि अब हर industry AI पर चलती है। Marketing teams इसे use करती हैं। Finance departments इसे use करती हैं।
construction planning भी इसे use करती है। अगर आप इन tools को समझे बिना graduate हो गए, तो आप पहले से ही पीछे हैं।
Courses practical skills पर focus करेंगे, सिर्फ theory पर नहीं। सोचिए hands-on projects, definitions रटना नहीं।
8,000+ Students पहले से New Placement Portal पर हैं
यहां कुछ ऐसा है जो आप अभी use कर सकते हैं। Department ने एक placement portal launch किया है, और 8,000 से ज्यादा students पहले से sign up कर चुके हैं।
वे Naukri.com के साथ मिलकर UP students के लिए specifically एक dedicated landing page भी बना रहे हैं। इसका मतलब है local job opportunities ढूंढना आसान होगा, national listings में खो जाने की बजाय।
इससे पहले क्या था? आपको खुद companies hunt करनी पड़ती थीं, cold applications भेजनी पड़ती थीं, उम्मीद करनी पड़ती थी कि कोई notice करे। अब एक centralized system है जो आपको directly उन recruiters से connect करता है जो UP talent ढूंढ रहे हैं।
Quick tip: अगर आपने अभी तक register नहीं किया है, तो कर लीजिए। Early adopters को usually better visibility मिलती है।
Rankings से ज्यादा Fark पड़ता है जितना आप सोचते हैं
Meeting में NAAC, NIRF और SIRF rankings की भी review हुई। Officials ने जोर दिया कि institutes को better faculty recruitment और stronger placement records चाहिए।
आपको rankings की क्यों परवाह करनी चाहिए? Simple। Top companies पहले top-ranked colleges से recruit करती हैं। Better rankings का मतलब है आपके campus पर better placement drives। यह सिर्फ prestige नहीं है, practical है।
Polytechnic institutions को specific instructions मिले कि वे अपनी quality improvement efforts speed up करें। अगर आपका college इस पर काम कर रहा है, तो आपको जल्द ही better facilities और teaching standards देखने को मिलेंगे।
Industry Collaboration का Actually क्या मतलब है?
Patel ने सभी technical institutes में industrial training को mandatory बनाने पर emphasis दिया। Department कई companies के साथ MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) sign कर रहा है ताकि यह हो सके।
Practice में यह कैसा दिखता है:
जब आप किसी manufacturing unit में visit करेंगे, तो आप सिर्फ observe नहीं करेंगे। आप शायद एक दिन के लिए किसी engineer को shadow करें। Questions पूछें। देखें कि pressure में decisions कैसे लिए जाते हैं। समझें कि certain materials दूसरों की बजाय क्यों choose किए जाते हैं।
इस तरह का exposure सिर्फ facts नहीं सिखाता। यह confidence build करता है। जब आप job interview में जाते हैं और कहते हैं, “मैंने XYZ plant में यह process देखा है,” तो recruiters ध्यान देते हैं।
आपके लिए इसमें क्या है? (असली Benefits)
चलिए break down करते हैं कि यह आपके career के लिए क्यों matter करता है:
1. आप Actually अपनी Textbooks समझेंगे
Load-bearing calculations के बारे में पढ़ना एक बात है। एक bridge के नीचे खड़े होना जो बन रहा है और उन calculations को action में देखना? बिल्कुल अलग। Concepts जो abstract लगते थे, अचानक समझ आने लगते हैं।
2. Better Interview Performance
Recruiters minutes में बता सकते हैं कि आपने सिर्फ theory पढ़ी है या नहीं। जब आप real projects reference कर सकते हैं जो आपने देखे हैं, real problems जो आपने observe किए हैं, तो आप stand out करते हैं। ज्यादातर candidates यह नहीं कर सकते।
3. Networking जल्दी शुरू होती है!
इन visits के दौरान, आप working professionals से मिलेंगे। कुछ mentors बन सकते हैं। दूसरे आपको याद रख सकते हैं जब उनकी company में openings हों। ये connections उससे ज्यादा matter करते हैं जितना आप सोचते हैं।
4. Skills जो Actually Use होती हैं!
AI courses और modern tech training का मतलब है आप वह सीख रहे हैं जो companies को अभी चाहिए, वह नहीं जो पांच साल पहले relevant था जब आपका curriculum लिखा गया था।
5. Graduation के बाद कम Time Waste?
बहुत से graduates college के बाद 6-12 महीने सिर्फ यह figure out करने में बिताते हैं कि उनकी industry कैसे काम करती है। आप वह phase पूरी तरह skip कर देंगे।
Room में कौन था?
यह कोई casual meeting नहीं थी। Technical Education के Principal Secretary attend किए, साथ में departmental officials और विभिन्न institutions के representatives।
इस level की involvement suggest करती है कि यह सिर्फ बातें नहीं हैं। जब senior officials show up करते हैं, तो usually budgets भी follow करते हैं।
Timeline (आगे क्या होगा)
अभी यह still एक proposal है। यहां likely sequence है:
1. Formal drafting – Proposal को official policy में लिखा जाएगा
2. Guidelines issued – सभी technical institutes को implementation instructions मिलेंगे
3. College-level planning – आपका college figure out करेगा कि किन companies के साथ partner करना है
4. Rollout begins – Mandatory visits का पहला batch शुरू होगा
अगले कुछ महीनों में अपने college administration से updates expect करें। अगर आप final year में हैं, तो शायद आप miss कर जाएं। अगर आप first या second year में हैं, तो यह definitely आपको affect करेगा।
बड़ी तस्वीर!
अगर यह properly implement हो जाता है (बड़ा if, considering कि government initiatives कभी-कभी कैसे stall हो जाती हैं), तो UP की technical education actually दूसरे states के साथ competitive बन सकती है।
अभी बहुत से UP students better opportunities के लिए Maharashtra, Karnataka या Delhi migrate करते हैं। Better training और industry connections शायद उस calculation को बदल दें।
आपको अभी क्या करना चाहिए?
सिर्फ wait मत करिए कि आपका college यह figure out करे। यहां वह है जो आप कर सकते हैं:
Questions – जब आपका college partnerships announce करे, तो पता लगाइए कि वे किन companies के साथ काम कर रहे हैं। क्या वे आपकी field के लिए relevant हैं?
Placement portal use – Seriously, अगर 8,000 students पहले से उस पर हैं, तो आपको भी होना चाहिए।
Industry news follow करना शुरू करिए – अगर आप manufacturing plants या construction sites visit करने जा रहे हैं, तो current industry challenges जानना उन visits को बहुत ज्यादा valuable बनाता है।
Seniors से बात करिए – अगर किसी senior ने पहले से industrial visits की हैं (कुछ colleges में पहले से optional programs थे), तो उनसे पूछिए कि क्या expect करें और इसका सबसे ज्यादा फायदा कैसे उठाएं।
Your Resume build करिए – जब ये visits हों, तो document करिए कि आपने क्या सीखा। इन्हें अपने LinkedIn पर add करिए। Recruiters “industrial exposure” और “site visit experience” जैसे keywords search करते हैं।
आखिरी बात
यह policy shift कुछ obvious recognize करती है: engineering एक practical field है। आप इसे पूरी तरह books से नहीं सीख सकते।
क्या हर college इसे अच्छे से implement करेगा? शायद नहीं। कुछ इसे box-checking exercise की तरह treat करेंगे। लेकिन एक mediocre industrial visit भी no exposure से बेहतर है।
उन students के लिए जो इन opportunities के साथ seriously engage करने को तैयार हैं, यह सिर्फ एक degree के साथ graduate होने और actual industry readiness के साथ graduate होने के बीच का difference हो सकता है।
सवाल यह नहीं है कि यह policy अच्छी है या नहीं (यह obviously है)। सवाल यह है कि जब यह आपके campus तक पहुंचे तो क्या आप इसका पूरा फायदा उठाएंगे।
यह सिर्फ एक और policy announcement नहीं है। यह एक recognition है कि classroom और career के बीच की gap को close करना जरूरी है। यह succeed होगा या नहीं, यह partly implementation पर depend करता है, लेकिन mostly इस पर कि क्या आप जैसे students actually इन opportunities के साथ engage करते हैं जब वे arrive करें।
