October 15 is two days away, and that is the last date for renewal applications under the Uttar Pradesh Post-Matric scholarship for 2026-27. Students filing under the Dashmottar category for the first time get more time: fresh applications stay open until October 31.
Dashmottar is the Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate track. It covers courses beyond Class 12, including graduation, post-graduation, diploma, ITI and other programmes. Students from the General, OBC, SC, ST and minority categories can apply, subject to the eligibility conditions of their group. Students at universities across the state, including the University of Allahabad, apply through the same portal.

Fresh or renewal: pick the right track
Renewal applications must reach the portal by October 15; fresh applications can be submitted till October 31. Choose the track that matches your situation before you begin filling the form, because a mistake here can hold up your application later.
Before you start, check that your bank account is ready to receive money through Direct Benefit Transfer, since approved scholarships are paid that way. Discovering a wrong account number after the deadline is a painful way to lose a scholarship.

The process runs entirely online. Complete the One Time Registration where applicable, select the scholarship category and the fresh or renewal option, then fill in the details, provide the documents and submit the form. Keep a copy of the submitted form for your records.
After submission, applications pass through institutional verification and other scrutiny stages. Approved students receive the scholarship amount through Direct Benefit Transfer.
