Uttar Pradesh के लाखों students के लिए एक बड़ी और जरूरी खबर है। Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) ने Class 10 और Class 12 के English paper को revamp करने का फैसला किया है। यह बदलाव National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 के competency-based learning framework के तहत हो रहा है।

अब तक UP Board के English paper में बहुत सारा rote learning था — grammar rules रटो, translation करो, passages याद करो और लिख दो। लेकिन अब यह approach बदलने वाली है। नए pattern में Critical Thinking, Reading Comprehension, Application-Based Questions और Writing Skills पर ज्यादा जोर होगा।

यह बदलाव 2026-27 academic session से UP Board के English paper में आने की तैयारी है। इसका सीधा असर Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bareilly और Moradabad जैसे जिलों के उन लाखों students पर पड़ेगा जो English को अपनी सबसे कमजोर कड़ी मानते हैं।

उत्तर प्रदेश में मौजूदा स्थिति — English Paper में क्या था गड़बड़?

UP Board की English परीक्षा में एक बड़ी समस्या हमेशा से रही है। Class 10 और 12 के students रट्टा मारकर answers लिख देते थे — passages, summaries और translations याद करना ही काफी था।

इसका नतीजा यह रहा कि UP Board से 80% marks लाने वाले बच्चे भी practical English में बेहद कमजोर होते थे। College में जाकर, CUET में बैठकर, या job interviews में English communication में दिक्कत आती थी।

NEP 2020 ने इस समस्या को पहचाना और कहा कि board exams को rote-heavy से competency-driven बनाना होगा। CBSE पहले से यह काम कर रहा है — CBSE ने 50% competency-focused questions, 20% MCQs और 30% constructed response questions का नया format adopt किया है। UP Board अब इसी दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहा है।

UPMSP के 2026 curriculum में NEP 2020 के guidelines के अनुसार application-based skills और critical thinking को emphasize किया गया है। Case studies और project-based learning पहले से incorporate हो रही है।

UP Board English Paper में क्या-क्या बदलेगा

UP Board के revamped English paper में निम्नलिखित बड़े बदलाव होने की उम्मीद है:

1. Reading Comprehension का बढ़ा हुआ weightage:

• Unseen passages — जो पहले कभी नहीं देखे — उन पर based questions
• सिर्फ factual questions नहीं — inference, analysis और evaluation पर भी marks
• Multiple types of texts — newspaper articles, notices, letters, advertisements

2. Critical Thinking Based Questions:

• Students को authors के arguments को analyze करना होगा
• “What do you think about…” जैसे open-ended questions — जिनका एक fixed answer नहीं होगा
• Opinions, judgments और evaluations express करने की ability

3. Writing Skills पर ज्यादा focus:

• Creative writing — stories, essays, opinion pieces
• Functional writing — formal letters, emails, notices, reports
• Vocabulary और expression — सिर्फ grammar rules नहीं

4. Grammar — Practical Use पर focus:

• Fill-in-the-blanks type grammar सीमित होगी
• Grammar को context में use करना — editing passages, error correction
• Application-based grammar questions — real-life situations में

5. Literature Section में बदलाव:

• Prose और Poetry पर direct memorization-based questions कम होंगे
• Themes, messages और character analysis पर ज्यादा focus
• Personal response — “What lesson did you learn from this story?” जैसे questions

Class 10–12 के छात्रों के लिए जरूरी जानकारी

नए pattern में कैसे करें तैयारी:

• रोज़ English अखबार पढ़ें: The Hindu या Times of India के simple articles पढ़ें। इससे Reading Comprehension strong होगी और vocabulary बढ़ेगी।
• Writing practice करें: रोज़ 1 paragraph — अपनी opinion पर, किसी topic पर, किसी story का continuation। यह writing skills के लिए सबसे effective exercise है।
• Grammar रटने की जगह use करें: Model papers और previous year papers में grammar को context में देखें। Editing exercises करें।
• UPMSP Model Papers डाउनलोड करें: upmsp.edu.in पर subject-wise model papers available हैं। English model paper जरूर solve करें।
• NCERT English books follow करें: NEP के तहत NCERT-aligned content ज्यादा important हो जाएगा।

2026 Exam (जो हो चुकी है) का pattern:

• UP Board Class 12 English exam 20 February 2026 को evening shift 2:00–5:15 PM में हुई। Question paper divided था sections में — Reading, Writing, Grammar और Literature — कुल 100 marks।
• Section A में 20 MCQs थे एक-एक mark के। Section B में descriptive questions थे — short answer और long answer — 50 marks।

2027 के paper में इसी structure में critical thinking और application-based questions की weightage बढ़ेगी।

Students की आम गलतियां — English Exam में

1. सिर्फ textbook passages याद करना: नए pattern में unseen passages आएंगे। Textbook रटने से काम नहीं चलेगा। Regular reading और comprehension practice जरूरी है।
2. Grammar rules याद करना लेकिन apply न करना: Grammar को context में use करना सीखें। Editing exercises, error correction — यह future pattern में crucial होगा।
3. Writing practice न करना: Writing skills सिर्फ theory पढ़ने से नहीं आती। रोज़ लिखना जरूरी है — चाहे दो lines ही हों।
4. Model Papers solve न करना: Model papers exam pattern समझने, OMR-based MCQs familiar होने और weak areas identify करने में help करते हैं। English model paper जरूर solve करें।
5. Vocabulary को ignore करना: नए comprehension-based questions में vocabulary crucial होगी। Synonyms, antonyms और word-in-context questions आ सकते हैं।
6. Time management न करना: English paper 3 घंटे 15 मिनट का है — Reading, Writing, Grammar और Literature सब में equal time management जरूरी है। Mock tests time-bound practice कराएं।
