Candidates waiting on Tripura’s last round of medical admissions have until tonight to lock their choices. The Tripura Medical Counselling Committee (TRMCC) has revised the schedule for the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round, and choice filling now closes at 11:59 pm on October 25, 2026. The merit list and the allotment result will both come out on October 26.

The revised notification was uploaded on October 22, 2026, by the Directorate of Medical Education, Tripura. It replaces the earlier dates, under which choice filling was to end on October 23. The committee has said the revised timings override earlier announcements.

Revised schedule for the stray round

The stray round covers MBBS and BDS seats under the 85 percent state quota that stayed vacant after Round 3. The full revised schedule is:

All steps are completed online through the official TRMCC counselling portal. Candidates should log in with their NEET UG 2026 roll number and password, pay the registration fee and security deposit, and lock their course and college preferences before the window closes.

Who can take part

Only candidates registered under TRMCC counselling can take part in the stray round. Applicants must hold a valid NEET UG 2026 scorecard and meet Tripura’s domicile and category rules. The round is mainly for candidates who did not get a seat in the earlier rounds.

Candidates who were allotted a seat in an earlier round and did not join may face restrictions, and the exact exclusion clause is in the official notification.

What happens after allotment

Allotted candidates must collect their nomination from the DME office between 12 noon on October 27 and 2 pm on October 29. They then report to the allotted institution for physical verification of original documents and admission formalities, between 2 pm on October 27 and 5 pm on October 29. Admission closes at 5 pm on October 29, and seats not taken by then will lapse for this academic session.

Since this is the final round, there is no later state-quota window to fall back on. Candidates who miss the choice-filling deadline tonight cannot be allotted a seat in this round.

Documents to keep ready

Online document verification is handled by the Verification Committee, and any mismatch can lead to rejection. Candidates should keep scanned copies of their NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates, Tripura domicile or Permanent Residence Certificate, category certificate if applicable, a government-issued photo identity proof, and a recent photograph and signature.
