October 31, 11:50 pm. That is when the application window for the SWAYAM July Semester 2026 examinations closes. The National Testing Agency opened registrations on October 9, and learners who completed courses in the July 2026 cycle now have a little over two weeks to register for the end-term exams.
SWAYAM, short for Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds, is the Ministry of Education’s platform of free online courses. The exams are the certification step: they are held every semester so learners can sit a proctored test and earn a certificate for the courses they finished. The July 2026 cycle covers 662 courses across disciplines, offered through the programme’s national coordinators.
What the exam looks like
The tests will be held from December 8 to 12, 2026, in computer-based mode. Each paper runs 180 minutes. There is no negative marking in the multiple-choice sections, which takes some pressure off the guessing game on questions you are unsure about.
The course-wise examination schedule is in the official notice on the NTA portal. Check it before registering, because anyone appearing for more than one course needs to make sure the exam slots do not overlap.

Why the correction window matters
The correction window is only open for two days, November 2 and 3. Once it closes, NTA accepts no further requests to change the application. If your name, photograph, or course selection has an error, this is the only chance to fix it, so double-check every field before you hit submit.
How to apply
Applications are accepted only online through the official SWAYAM examination portal. Register on the site, fill in the form with your details, upload the required documents, pay the fee online, and submit. Save the confirmation page after the form goes through.
