MBA aspirants eyeing Bengaluru have a new window. The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru, a constituent institute of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), has opened applications for its M.B.A. and M.B.A. (Business Analytics) programmes for the 2027-29 batch.
Both are two-year, full-time residential programmes, and both admit students exclusively through the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2026. No other exam or route applies: without a SNAP 2026 score, the application does not move forward.
The two programmes
The flagship M.B.A. covers the standard management specialisations: Finance, Marketing, Operations and Human Resources.
The M.B.A. (Business Analytics) has a different emphasis. The announcement puts artificial intelligence and technology-enabled decision-making at its centre, combining general management subjects with analytics coursework such as digital transformation, data warehousing and business intelligence, alongside functional analytics courses in HR, marketing, finance and operations.
Who can apply
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university or Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent grade, relaxed to 45 per cent for SC and ST candidates. Students in the final year of their degree can also apply, provided they meet the minimum marks requirement. Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
SNAP 2026: the only gate in
SNAP 2026 is the mandatory entrance test for all Symbiosis MBA programmes. Registration is open on the official SNAP portal and closes on November 25, 2026. The computer-based test runs in three sessions, on December 13, 19 and 26, 2026. Candidates can appear in up to three attempts, and the best score is used for shortlisting. Results are announced on January 12, 2027.
Registering for SNAP is only half the job. Candidates must also submit a separate application for the SIBM Bengaluru programme through the institute’s own portal and pay the programme fee. Our admission documents checklist covers the papers applicants typically need to keep ready for such applications.
After shortlisting on SNAP scores, institutes hold their own selection rounds, which may include group exercises, personal interaction and a written ability test.
