Rajasthan has opened one more round of medical admissions, and the window is nearly shut. The state NEET UG counselling board has put 157 vacant MBBS and BDS seats up for a special stray round, and the online form closes at 8 pm today, November 5. The fee window already closed at 4 pm, so only candidates who paid in time can still submit the form.
The seats on offer are 136 MBBS and 21 BDS, and every one of them sits in a private college. The seat matrix shows no vacant government MBBS seat anywhere in the state, and none in a government dental college either.
What seats are on offer
Of the 136 MBBS seats, 76 are private general and 60 are private management. Vyas Medical College and Hospital in Jodhpur holds the largest share, with 73 general and 23 management seats. JIET Medical College in Jodhpur has 18 management seats; Jaipur National University Institute of Medical Sciences has 8 management seats and 1 general seat.
The 21 BDS seats split into 13 private general and 8 private management. Maharaja Gangasingh Dental College in Sri Ganganagar accounts for 18 of them.
The board published the seat matrix on November 3 and opened registration on November 4, following the schedule set by the Medical Counselling Committee in Delhi.
The schedule candidates need to follow
Document verification takes place in person on November 6 and 7, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Academic Block of SMS Medical College in Jaipur. The provisional combined merit list comes out on November 7.
Security deposits can be paid from November 7 to November 10, with the deadline at 5 pm on November 10. For MBBS seats in private medical colleges the deposit is Rs 5 lakh; for BDS seats it is Rs 10,000. Choice filling runs from November 7 to November 10, and choices lock automatically at 11.45 pm on November 10.
The provisional allotment result is scheduled for November 11. Candidates who get a seat can print their allotment letter and pay the first year tuition fee between November 12 and 16, then report at the allotted college desk at SMS Medical College from November 13 to 16, between 9 am and 4 pm.
Verification in person, and a warning on choices
Candidates must appear in person at SMS Medical College with their original documents, which the board will keep after verification. They must also submit the prescribed bond; without it, a candidate cannot take part in the round.
All choices filled in earlier rounds, including round 1, round 2, round 3 and the earlier stray vacancy round, now stand cancelled. Candidates who want a seat in this round must fill fresh choices, and anyone who skips choice filling will not be considered, even if they registered.
Candidates who registered earlier do not need to register again, as long as they meet the board’s eligibility conditions. Applications and updates are handled through the official Rajasthan NEET counselling portal. Before travelling to Jaipur, check the admission documents checklist so a missing certificate does not cost a seat.
