Patliputra University is closing its last admissions window of the season today. The university has opened a final spot admission round for undergraduate, postgraduate, MEd, LLB and vocational courses against vacant seats, and online applications close on October 22.
PPU registrar Abu Bakar told The Times of India that eligible students can apply online and select a maximum of two colleges. The university will then prepare a merit list for the vacant seats in its constituent and affiliated colleges in the Patna and Nalanda districts.
How the spot round works
Seats are filled strictly against vacancies in the current academic session, and admission is subject to seat availability plus the prescribed eligibility criteria for each course. If you missed the regular counselling rounds, this is the last entry point for the 2026-27 session.
Applications go only through the official PPU admission portal. Exam forms due October 24
In a separate announcement, the university directed undergraduate students of the 2025-29 and 2024-28 sessions to fill their examination forms for the Semester III and Semester V examinations by October 24. The exam fee is Rs 600 per student.
The registrar asked students to submit the forms within the deadline to stay eligible for the upcoming semester examinations. Two days after the spot admission window closes, PPU’s attention shifts fully to exams, so current students should not wait for the spot round chaos to settle before filing their forms.
