Tomorrow morning, 10:30 AM, is the line you cannot cross late.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee (OJEE) has published the provisional allotment for the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round, and every candidate with a seat on that list must reach the OJEE Cell at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, in person by 10:30 AM on October 22, 2026. The stray round covers vacant MBBS and BDS seats across the state’s medical and dental colleges, and it is the final counselling phase of this admission season.

The allotment is already live

OJEE released the provisional allotment on October 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM on its official portal, ojee.nic.in. Candidates who took part in the round can log in, open the MBBS/BDS Counselling 2026 section and download the provisional allotment letter. The list was drawn from the choices locked earlier: registration ran from October 17 to 18, and choice filling from 7:30 PM on October 18 to 5:00 PM on October 19.

What to do in the next 24 hours

Three steps stand between an allotted candidate and a confirmed seat, and all three have to happen by tomorrow morning.

First, log in to ojee.nic.in and select the Freeze or Float option through your candidate login, then complete the fee payment process. Freeze locks in the seat; Float keeps it while leaving room for the upgradation allotment.

Second, print the provisional allotment letter. You will need it at the venue, along with original certificates and marksheets, photocopies of each document and the applicable bond where one is required. Candidates heading to Bhubaneswar from other cities can run through our admission documents checklist so nothing is missing on reporting day.

Third, report in person at the OJEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, no later than 10:30 AM on October 22. OJEE is explicit about what follows a missed deadline: the candidate is marked non-reported, the seat allotment is cancelled, and the candidate is excluded from further counselling.

Upgradation is still on the table

If you chose Float, the story is not over after reporting. An upgradation allotment is scheduled for 5:00 PM on October 23, 2026, and candidates who secure an upgraded seat must report by 10:30 AM on October 25. The upgradation exists only if required, so track the portal rather than assuming it will happen.

Uttarakhand is running its own NEET UG stray vacancy round on a parallel timeline, which we covered here.
