The NPTEL result portal is filling up. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning has started releasing scorecards for the July-December 2026 semester examinations on the official NPTEL website.

The first batch of results went live on September 29, 2026. A second batch followed on October 16, covering the examinations held on September 19 and 20. Since the results arrive in phases, not every course has a scorecard yet. Students should open the “Results for Jul-Dec 2026 Exams” section on the portal to see whether their course result is available.

Which courses are covered

The October 16 round includes papers across a wide spread of subjects. NPTEL has listed An Introduction to Coding Theory, Cellular Biophysics: A Framework for Quantitative Biology, Introduction to Programming in C, Postmodernism in Literature, Calculus of Several Real Variables, Tools and Technologies of Language Documentation, Project Planning and Control, and Soft Skill Development among the courses whose results are out.

Courses are added as evaluation finishes, so if your course is not listed yet, check the portal again later. The official website remains the only reliable place to track which results have been published.

How to download the scorecard

Open nptel.ac.in and look for the “Results for Jul-Dec 2026 Exams” section. Click the result link for your course or examination, then enter the roll number or the other credentials the portal asks for. The scorecard opens as a PDF, which you can check and download for your records.

Select the correct course and examination before downloading. If the portal does not respond, wait and retry with the credentials you registered with. NPTEL points students back to the official portal for any further instructions about their course.

Check the marksheet carefully

The marksheet carries your name, registration number, course name and code, subject name and code where applicable, result status, marks obtained, maximum marks and the result date. Read each field before filing it away. If any detail is wrong, contact the NPTEL examination authorities through the official website so it can be corrected.

Keep a copy of the downloaded scorecard with the rest of your records. Our admission documents checklist covers the scans and certificates worth keeping on hand for verification rounds.

A joint IIT-IISc programme

NPTEL is a joint initiative of seven IITs, Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee, together with the Indian Institute of Science. Lakhs of students across India take these courses each semester, and many colleges accept the credits toward degree requirements. That makes the scorecard a document worth downloading and storing properly, whether you need it this year or later.
