Today is the last day to apply. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies closes applications for its MBA 2027 intake on October 25, 2026, and the window shuts after an extension that already gave applicants 15 extra days.
The original deadline was October 10. SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM) moved it to October 25 in an announcement published on October 12, and no further extension has been announced since. Anyone still planning to apply is working against the final day of the cycle, not another grace period.
Two registrations, not one
The step applicants most often get wrong is treating the entrance exam form as the whole application. It is only half of it.
Candidates first register for NMAT by GMAC 2026 and pay the fee, then complete a separate NMIMS application on the same portal. Both have to be finished by the October 25 deadline. The school has also advised applicants to register with NMIMS at least a day before their NMAT exam date, so leaving the second form for exam week creates a needless risk.
The application fee is Rs 3,000, payable online. Apply through the official NMAT portal, and keep the registration number issued after the NMAT form, since the NMIMS form asks for it.
Who can apply, and how selection works
The MBA is open to graduates in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50 percent aggregate marks. Final-year students can apply provisionally, subject to meeting that mark on graduation.
Selection runs in two stages. The NMAT by GMAC 2026 score decides the shortlist, and shortlisted candidates then face a competency test and a personal interview. Work experience and past academic performance also count in the final merit calculation, so the exam score alone does not settle admission.
Thirty percent of MBA seats are reserved for female candidates across NMIMS campuses. Applicants should check the campus-wise seat break-up in the admission handout before ranking preferences.
Six campuses, 10 programmes
The 2027 intake covers 10 full-time MBA programmes across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Mumbai remains the flagship campus, and it also runs the specialised programmes in Human Resources, Pharmaceutical Management, Business Analytics and Digital Transformation.

The NMAT 2026 exam window runs through November and December 2026. Exact exam dates and admit card timing appear on the applicant dashboard after registration, so candidates should read the instructions there rather than relying on second-hand date lists.
What to finish today
Start with the NMAT registration if it is not done, then complete the NMIMS form in the same sitting. Upload clear documents and check every field before paying, since a rejected form on the last day leaves no time to fix it.
