Postgraduate medical aspirants in Madhya Pradesh get their Round 1 seat allotment result today, October 29. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, will publish the result on its counselling portal, and the allotment list will decide who gets an MD, MS or PG Diploma seat in the state’s government and private medical colleges in this round.

The result link had not gone live in the morning, with the portal page showing it as still to be activated. Candidates should keep checking the portal through the day rather than wait for a fixed hour. DME has not announced an exact release time, and past rounds have seen results appear late in the morning or in the evening.

How to check the result

Log in to the official DME Madhya Pradesh counselling portal with the credentials used during registration. Open the Round 1 seat allotment result from the candidate dashboard and download the allotment letter. Save a copy and print one as well, since the letter is needed at the time of reporting.

Read the letter carefully before anything else. Check the candidate name, NEET PG details, allotted college, course and category against the registration record. If any detail looks wrong, contact the counselling authority right away instead of reporting with a faulty letter.

What decided the allotment

The allotment follows three inputs: the choices candidates locked, their position in the state merit list, and the seats available in each college and course. Choice filling and locking ran from October 24 to October 27, as we reported when the window closed, and DME has said unlocked choices count as null. A candidate who picked colleges but never locked them was left out of this allotment entirely.

The state merit list came out on October 21, and the final seat matrix followed on October 23 after objections to the vacancy list were settled. That matrix is the list of seats actually on offer, so the allotment could only go as far as the seats in it allowed.

Reporting starts tomorrow

Allotted candidates must report in person to their colleges between October 30 and November 10, 2026, up to 6 pm. Reporting covers document verification, fee payment and admission confirmation at the college. Our admission documents checklist covers the scans and originals to keep ready before leaving home.

Carry the allotment letter, a valid identity proof, the MBBS degree or provisional certificate, the internship completion certificate, the NEET PG scorecard, and category or domicile documents where they apply. Colleges may ask for additional papers, so check the allotted college’s own instructions before travelling. Keep a copy of every document submitted and every receipt issued, including the fee receipt.

The same October 30 to November 10 window also carries the online resignation and admission cancellation facility. Candidates who decide against the allotted seat should use that facility within the window rather than simply not turning up, since an unreported seat can complicate later rounds.
