MCC NEET UG rounds 5 and 6: BDS, nursing registration opens November 2

Candidates still waiting for a BDS or BSc Nursing seat have two more rounds to work with. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, issued the schedule on October 30 for the remaining rounds of NEET UG 2026 counselling. Registration for the first of them opens on November 2.
The schedule covers three things at once. There is a special stray vacancy round for MBBS seats, a fifth round for BDS and BSc Nursing seats running on the same dates, and then a sixth round for BDS and BSc Nursing seats later in November. Rounds 1, 2, 3 (mop-up) and the online stray vacancy round are already complete.

The timing here is tight. Choice filling runs until 11 am on November 5, and locking closes at the same hour, so there is no room for a missed deadline after registration closes.

The sixth round is for BDS and BSc Nursing seats only, and it follows the same pattern: a three-day registration window, locking that closes on the morning of the last day, a result the next day, and an eight-day reporting window.
What to sort out before registering
MCC counselling covers the 15 percent all-India quota seats, central and deemed universities, and AIIMS and JIPMER seats. State quota seats are handled separately by the state authorities, so a candidate should be clear which quota a seat belongs to before filling choices. Keep the documents ready before the window opens. Colleges ask for the same set of papers at reporting, and our admission documents checklist lists what to carry. A seat allotted in round 5 or 6 still has to be taken up in person at the college within the reporting window, and missing that window means losing the seat.
