Candidates who got a seat in the final round of NEET UG counselling this year can now pack their documents and head to their colleges. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the final allotment result for the NEET UG 2026 special stray vacancy round, a day ahead of schedule, and reporting opens today.

The result covers MBBS seats under the special stray vacancy round and BDS and BSc Nursing seats under the fifth round. It is published as a PDF list on the MCC website, and candidates can search it by NEET rank or roll number.

What changed since the provisional list

MCC had released the provisional list earlier in the week. That list carried 537 MBBS allotments against 946 vacant seats, along with 208 BDS and 66 BSc Nursing entries. Candidates could flag errors in the provisional list before the final version was drawn up.

The final result replaces the provisional one, and only the final list counts for admission. Anyone who was allotted a seat in the provisional list should check the final list again, since corrections could have changed individual allotments.

Reporting: what to do now

Allotted candidates must report to their allotted colleges between November 7 and November 16, 2026. Reporting closes at 5 PM on November 16. Candidates need to carry original documents and pay the admission fee at the college to complete the process.

There is no exit option in this round. Once a seat is allotted in the special stray vacancy round, the candidate cannot resign it, so anyone with an allotment should report rather than wait for another round. Candidates should check the admission documents checklist before travelling, so a missing paper does not hold up admission.

What the round covered

The special stray vacancy round was held for 1,219 seats: 946 MBBS, 207 BDS and 66 BSc Nursing seats. Registration ran from November 2 to 4, and choice filling closed on the morning of November 5. Seats were processed on November 5 and 6, and the result was due on November 7 before MCC published it a day early.

What comes next

For BDS and BSc Nursing, one more round remains. Registration for the sixth round opens on November 17 and the result is scheduled for November 20. For MBBS, this was the last MCC round of the year.

The result and the reporting instructions are on the official MCC website.
