Yesterday’s stray round result was not the final word.

The Medical Counselling Committee published a revised provisional seat allotment list for the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round on Tuesday, October 20. The updated PDF sits on the official MCC portal, and it covers MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats across participating institutions.

The stray round is the last central phase of this year’s medical admissions, so the revised list matters to every candidate who took part. It carries candidate-wise details: NEET rank, allotted quota, institute, course, allotted category, candidate category, and remarks or allotment status. Look up your own entry and read it against the earlier list to spot any change.

Who has to act again

The instructions attached to the revised list single out one group. If your category or quota has changed within the same institute and course, you must get a relieving letter generated online and take admission to the seat under the revised category or quota. You also need a fresh online-generated admission letter for the revised seat.

Without the fresh letter, the college has no valid record of the revised allotment. The MCC is blunt about the stakes: failing to complete the admission process as required can lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Which colleges appear in the list

The revised list includes MBBS seats at King George’s Medical University in Lucknow alongside AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Gorakhpur and AIIMS Patna. Grant Medical College in Mumbai, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh, University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital in Delhi, JIPMER Karaikal, the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in Kolkata, Patna Medical College and the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi also feature.

How to check the revised list
