The final list is 137 pages long, and it holds 3,108 serial numbers. Each one belongs to a candidate who now has a medical seat. The Medical Counselling Committee released the final allotment result for the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round on Wednesday, October 21, closing the last central phase of this year’s undergraduate medical admissions.

The round filled vacant MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats from the clear vacancy matrix, which had listed 4,068 seats across participating institutions. Allotments landed at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Gorakhpur, King George’s Medical University in Lucknow and Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai, along with other government medical colleges and private and deemed universities. MCC allotted seats across quotas including All India, Open Seat, IP University, Delhi University and Self-Financed Merit, and across Open, OBC, EWS, SC, ST and PwD categories.

Registration for the stray round closed on October 16, fresh choice filling and locking ran that same evening, and seat processing followed on October 17 and 18. MCC then published a revised provisional list on October 20 with a grievance window that closed at 11 AM that day. This final PDF replaces that list, so check your status against it and not the older version.

What to do now

Open the official MCC portal, go to the UG Medical Counselling section, and look for the final stray vacancy round allotment result under Current Events. Search the PDF for your NEET UG rank and check every field against your counselling records: quota, institute, course, allotted category and remarks.

If you have a seat, download the allotment letter from your candidate login and report to the allotted college between October 19 and October 26, 2026 with your original documents. Make sure the admission documents you carry match your records, because a mismatch at the reporting desk can cost you the seat. MCC has said candidates who do not report will lose the allotted seat, so do not leave it to the last day.

A short note on what the stray round means

The stray vacancy round is the final All India Quota counselling for the 2026-27 academic year. Only NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates who were left unplaced after Round 3 could take part, and candidates already allotted a seat in Round 3 were barred. If your name is on this list, there is no further central round to wait for. If it is not, your state’s own counselling portal is the next place to check.
