Kerala’s law graduates have until November 2 to lock in their college choices. In a notice dated October 27, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, extended the last date for online option registration for the first phase of centralised allotment to LLM courses for 2026-27 to November 2, 2026, at 5 PM.

Candidates on the KLEE LLM 2026 rank list can submit and confirm their preferred colleges on the official CEE Kerala LLM notifications page until then. The extension notice itself is published there, and it is the document candidates should rely on rather than any earlier timetable.

A third extension for the same round

Option registration for this round opened on October 1. The first deadline was October 5, at 3 PM. CEE then pushed it to October 8, and again to October 22. The November 2 date is the third extension, and the rule has stayed the same through each one: only candidates on the rank list can register options, and the order in which they list colleges decides allotment along with their rank.

The extension covers the first round of centralised allotment for the two-year LLM programme in government and government-controlled law colleges across Kerala. CollegeDunia’s programme listing puts the number of seats across the participating colleges at around 155.

How to register options before the deadline

Open the LLM 2026 candidate portal on the official CEE Kerala portal and log in with the application number and password. Select the option registration link, check the available colleges and courses, and arrange preferences in order of priority. Review the list before submitting, and save the confirmation details.

Two things are easy to get wrong. First, the mandatory document upload on the portal has to be complete, since options registered without it are not considered for allotment. Second, the order of preferences is final once the window closes, so a college listed second will not be treated as a first choice if the first choice fills up. Our admission documents checklist covers how to keep those scans ready before a deadline lands, and the how to choose a university in India guide is worth a read before ranking colleges that differ on faculty, fees and location.

What happens after November 2

Once the window closes, CEE Kerala will run the first-round centralised allotment and publish the seat allotment result on the portal. The allotment date has not been announced yet, and candidates who get a seat will then follow the admission and reporting instructions issued with the allotment.

Do not leave this to the last evening. Portals slow down near a deadline, and a missed 5 PM cutoff means sitting out the first round entirely. Candidates who run into trouble can reach CEE Kerala on 0471-2332120 or 0471-2338487 between 10 AM and 5 PM.
