If you applied for Kerala’s postgraduate medical seats, your state rank is now public. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, published the provisional state merit list and the category-wise list for PG Medical 2026 on October 26, and candidates have until 11:30 AM on October 29 to flag errors.
That short window is the part to take seriously. Once CEE Kerala closes it, the lists move toward the allotment rounds, and a wrong rank or wrong category on a provisional list is much harder to fix later.
What CEE Kerala published
The provisional list covers candidates who applied for Kerala’s state quota postgraduate medical admissions for the 2026-27 session. Alongside the main state merit list, CEE Kerala published a category-wise list, so candidates can check both their overall state position and where they stand within their category.
The lists are provisional, and that is the point of this stage. CEE Kerala is asking candidates to check their details and report genuine mistakes before the lists are used for allotment.
Applications for this round opened on October 12, and the extended application deadline closed at 10 AM on October 24. Candidates also had until 1 PM on October 26 to complete profile verification, which is why the lists could only follow after that.
The October 29 deadline
Candidates with a genuine complaint about their rank or category must email ceeinfo.cee@kerala.gov.in before 11:30 AM on October 29, 2026. The email should mention the application number and the candidate’s name, so the office can match the complaint to the right record.
The same deadline applies to candidates whose rank or category has been withheld. If your entry shows a withheld status because of a document defect, correct it through your candidate profile before 11:30 AM on October 29. A withheld rank does not move forward on its own.
How to check the list
Go to the official CEE Kerala portal and open the PG Medical candidate portal. The Rank List and Category List options lead to the PDFs. Download the list rather than relying on a screenshot, and check three things: your name and application number, your state rank, and your category.
What happens after the lists are settled
The colleges in this pool fill their state quota postgraduate seats through the CEE Kerala process, including medical colleges under Kerala University of Health Sciences. A place on the merit list makes you eligible for the allotment rounds. It does not by itself guarantee a seat, since allotment depends on rank, category and the choices a candidate fills.
When reporting time comes, candidates will need originals, including the admit card issued by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences and the allotment memo issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
