Candidates chasing an Ayurveda, Homoeopathy or allied health seat in Kerala have until 11 am tomorrow, October 28, to confirm or rearrange their options. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, opened the option entry window for the third phase of allotment on October 24, and the clock on that window is now nearly out.
This round is separate from the MBBS and BDS allotments. It covers Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha and Unani seats, along with a long list of medical allied courses: Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Forestry, Fisheries, Co-operation and Banking, Climate Change and Environmental Science, BSc-MSc Integrated Biology, BSc-MSc Integrated Microbiology and BTech Biotechnology. Candidates can also register fresh options for BVSc and AH courses in this round.
Who has to confirm, and what happens if they do not
Option confirmation is mandatory for two groups: candidates who already hold a seat from an earlier phase, and candidates who got no allotment in the previous phases. The first group needs to confirm if it wants its higher options considered in phase 3. The second group needs to confirm to stay in the running at all.
Skipping the step does not cancel an existing admission. A candidate who was admitted in phase 2 and does not confirm keeps that seat. What the candidate loses is the chance of moving up to a higher preference in this round.
There is one more condition worth noting. Candidates who were allotted a seat through the All India Ayush Counselling Committee and did not join it are taken out of the phase 3 allotment process. CEE has also said that failing to join an allotted college within the given time disqualifies a candidate from later allotment rounds.
The schedule from here
The provisional third phase allotment will be published on October 29, and the final allotment on October 30. Candidates who get a seat then have from October 31 to November 3, up to 4 pm, to pay the fee and join the college. Colleges must update the details of admitted candidates through the online admission management system by 5 pm on November 3.
Candidates who want to give up a seat they joined in phase 1 or phase 2 can exit by forfeiting the option registration fee, but only until 5 pm today, October 27. Any seats still vacant after phase 3 will go to a stray vacancy allotment, with details to be announced later.
How to confirm options
Log in to the official CEE Kerala portal, open the KEAM 2026 candidate portal, and use the option confirmation link for the third phase. From there, candidates can confirm their existing options, move higher options up, or delete options they no longer want. Save the changes before the 11 am deadline, since an unsaved rearrangement counts for nothing.
Before reporting to a college, it helps to have the paperwork ready. The admission documents checklist covers the certificates and identity proofs colleges usually ask for at joining time. This phase 3 round for Ayurveda and allied courses is also distinct from the Kerala NEET UG round 3 allotment for MBBS and BDS published earlier this month, so candidates should check they are following the right schedule for their course.
