November 2 is the next date that matters for Jharkhand’s postgraduate medical aspirants. The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will issue Round 1 provisional seat allotment letters for NEET PG 2026 on that day, for candidates who completed registration and choice filling on October 29 and 30.

The letters will be available on the board’s counselling portal, neetpg.jceceb.co.in, and on the main JCECEB site, jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Candidates should download the letter as soon as it appears and check the allotted college and course against the choices they filled.

What the November 2 letter means

Allotment in Round 1 is made on the basis of the NEET PG 2026 result, the final state merit list, and the preferences each candidate entered during the two-day choice filling window. The seats on offer are state quota seats for MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB courses in Jharkhand medical colleges.

The letter is provisional: it confirms the seat allotted in this round, and admission is completed only after reporting and verification at the institute. Candidates should save a copy of the letter and read any instructions printed on it before travelling to the allotted college.

Reporting runs from November 3 to 10

Allotted candidates must report to their allotted institute between November 3 and November 10, 2026. During that window they complete certificate and document verification and the remaining admission formalities at the institute.

Original certificates and copies should be ready before November 3. The admission documents checklist covers the originals and copies candidates are usually asked for at joining. Candidates who do not report by November 10 forfeit the allotted seat.

The final merit list followed the provisional list of October 26 and the window for objections to it. Choice filling ran for two days only, October 29 and 30, and only candidates who filled choices then are part of the November 2 allotment. The earlier Jharkhand NEET PG final merit list update covered that stage.

If no seat is allotted in Round 1

A candidate with no allotment on November 2 is not out of the process. JCECEB runs further rounds after Round 1, including a second round, a mop up round and a stray vacancy round, and the schedule for those rounds will be published on the board’s portal. Those candidates should keep checking the portal for the next round’s dates.

For candidates who do get a seat, location, branch and workload at the allotted college will shape the next few years of training, and the how to choose a university in India guide covers the checks worth making before reporting. The immediate task is simpler: download the letter on November 2, and report between November 3 and 10 with documents in hand.
