Today, October 13, 2026, is the last day to register for the INI CET January 2027 session. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi closes the application window tonight, and every application has to go through the official AIIMS examination portal.
The window has been open since September 16. INI CET is the combined entrance test for postgraduate medical courses at the Institutes of National Importance, and it is held twice a year. This cycle feeds the January 2027 session.
The dates that matter
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Online registration and application | September 16 to October 13, 2026 |
| Registration status check | October 17 to 19, 2026 |
| Final registration status and admit card | October 26, 2026 |
| INI CET January 2027 examination | November 1, 2026 |
The exam will be computer-based, with 200 objective-type questions and a three-hour duration.
What it costs
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| General, OBC (NCL), foreign national, OCI and sponsored | Rs 4,000 |
| SC, ST and EWS | Rs 3,200 |
| Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) | Nil |
Payment is online only, by credit card, debit card or net banking. The fee is part of the application itself, so an unpaid form does not count as submitted.
How to apply today
- Go to the official AIIMS examination portal.
- Open the link for INI CET January 2027.
- Create an account with your personal details, date of birth, category, email ID and contact number.
- Fill the application form carefully. Our admission documents checklist lists the scans you should keep ready before you sit down to fill it.
- Upload the documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the fee, review everything, and submit. Save the confirmation page. Enter details exactly as they appear on your documents, because a mismatch can hold up your application later.
Do not leave this for tonight. Exam portals slow down badly on deadline evenings, and a payment that fails at 11:55 PM leaves you no room to recover.
After you submit
Once the window closes, you can check your registration status between October 17 and 19. The final registration status and the admit card come out together on October 26. Download the admit card as soon as it is released and check the details printed on it. The entrance exam follows a week later, on November 1.
