November 27 is the date MBA aspirants eyeing IMT need to circle. The Institute of Management Technology has opened its common application for the 2027-29 PGDM batch, and one form covers all three of its Indian campuses: Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad. The application fee is Rs 3,500 plus applicable charges.

That single-form setup matters because CAT 2026 registration has already closed. Candidates who sat out the CAT form for a particular school cannot go back and add it later, but the IMT form is separate from CAT itself. Anyone with a valid CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT score can apply, and the institute says GMAT scores from July 1, 2022 onwards are accepted.

Applications go through the official IMT admissions page. Applicants rank their campus and programme preferences in the form, so the order is worth deciding before logging in. The profile detail form, where supporting documents are uploaded, opens at the end of October 2026.

What is on offer at each campus

Ghaziabad, the flagship campus, offers five programmes. The core PGDM has 180 seats and PGDM Marketing has 180 seats. The Dual Country Programme, which splits time between India and Dubai, has 210 seats. PGDM Banking and Financial Services has 120 seats and PGDM Financial Management has 60 seats.

Nagpur offers the core PGDM along with Financial Management and Marketing. Hyderabad offers the core PGDM and a finance-focused PGDM. IMT Dubai runs its own admissions route and sits outside this common application, so Dubai aspirants should not use this form.

Who can apply

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent aggregate marks. Final-year graduation students can also apply. The programme is fully residential at Ghaziabad, so hostel and mess costs sit on top of tuition, something worth factoring in before applying.

How selection works

IMT does not shortlist on a single number. It weighs the entrance test score alongside academic performance, work experience and the overall profile. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the offline common selection process, which has a Critical Thinking Test and a Personal Interview.

Slot booking for that round opens in the first week of January 2027, and the process itself begins on January 8, 2027. It runs offline across 22 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. Centre slots are limited, so applying early helps in getting a preferred city.

The timing also lines up awkwardly for CAT candidates. CAT 2026 is held on November 29, two days after the IMT form closes, which means applicants must commit to IMT before knowing their percentile. XAT 2027 follows on January 3, 2027, just before the selection round begins. Keep academic records, identity papers and work experience documents ready before starting the form; our admission documents checklist covers the usual set.
