IIT Delhi opens 6-month executive course in decision-making: ₹1 lakh fee, apply by Nov 10

Working professionals have until November 10 to apply for a six-month Indian Institute of Technology Delhi course on making better business decisions with data and AI.

The institute’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP) has opened applications for its Executive Certificate Programme in Managerial Decision Making and Analytics. The course is aimed at managers and working professionals who want to sharpen how they use data analysis, artificial intelligence, and practical business methods in everyday decisions.

Classes begin on January 24, 2027, and the programme runs through July 24, 2027. Sessions are scheduled on Fridays from 10 am to 1:30 pm, with a 30-minute break in between. Participants who meet the attendance and evaluation requirements receive an e-certificate from CEP, IIT Delhi.

What the course covers

The curriculum focuses on managerial decision-making and the use of analytics in business. Participants learn how data can help them identify problems, weigh the options on the table, and support decisions in professional settings. The course also introduces AI and analytical approaches for business applications, pitched at people working in planning, operations, management, and other decision-making roles.

Everything runs online, so participants can join from their own cities without relocating. Those who want time on campus can opt for a two-day immersion at IIT Delhi, but travel and accommodation are paid for by the participant.

The programme is coordinated by Professor Abhijit Majumdar, the R. Jaikumar Chair Professor for Operations Management in IIT Delhi’s Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering. Faculty from the Department of Management Studies, including Professor Surya Prakash Singh, Professor Smita Kashiramka, and Professor Sushil, also teach on the course.

The programme fee is ₹1,00,000 plus 18% GST, and the application fee is ₹1,000 plus GST. Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply; the institute says it will give preference to candidates with two years of work experience.
