Working professionals who want a one-year MBA from IIM Lucknow have until 5 pm on November 30 to apply in the current round. Phase 2 of admissions to the International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) closes then.
IPMX is a one-year, full-time residential MBA at IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus in Sector 62, meant for mid- and senior-level professionals. The institute has about 110 seats for the 2027-28 batch, and classes start in the first week of April 2027.
The three phases
Admissions run in three phases. Phase 1 closed on September 2, 2026. Phase 2 opened on September 3 and closes on November 30. Phase 3 opens on December 1 and closes on January 20, 2027.
Candidates can apply in only one phase, with one exception. If you are not shortlisted for the written ability test and interview in Phase 2, or you do not appear for them, you can apply again in Phase 3 with an improved GMAT or GRE score. If you are interviewed and not selected, you cannot apply in a later phase.
The Phase 2 shortlist comes out on December 10, 2026. The written ability test and interviews follow in January 2027, and the selected list comes out the same month.
Who can apply
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA, a valid GMAT or GRE score that stays valid until the last date of application, and at least four years of full-time work experience after graduation, counted as on March 31, 2027.
Only test-centre GMAT and GRE scores count; scores from the online, at-home versions are not accepted. Two letters of recommendation are mandatory, and referees must submit them online before the deadline, or the application counts as incomplete.
How selection works
Shortlisting runs on GMAT or GRE scores, and shortlisted candidates sit a writing ability test and a personal interview. The final score weights the test score at 30%, the academic and professional profile at 30%, the writing test at 10% and the interview at 30%.
What the programme covers
The course carries 23.5 credits across four terms, covering finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, economics, strategy, operations and business analytics, plus electives. A two-to-three-week international immersion module runs at a partner school in Europe or East Asia.
IIM Lucknow’s IPMX holds the 58th rank in the Financial Times MBA Rankings 2026. Prof. Ashish Aggarwal, Chairperson, Admissions at the Noida campus, said the programme offers “world class education with a unique blend of class room learning, industry interaction and international exposure.”
The fee for the 2027-28 batch is Rs 26,00,000, plus a refundable caution deposit of Rs 20,000 and an alumni membership fee of Rs 5,000. The application fee is Rs 5,000, non-refundable.
