The IIFT application window closes on November 25, four days before CAT 2026. The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade opened applications for its MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics) 2027-29 batches on October 12, and the form closes at 11:59 pm on November 25, 2026. The application fee must be paid by the same cutoff; the institute rejects incomplete applications.
Programmes and campuses
The MBA (IB) runs at four campuses: Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City. The MBA (BA), the institute’s data and analytics programme, runs at the Delhi campus. Both programmes admit the 2027-29 cohort through this single application window.
How selection works
There is no separate IIFT entrance test this cycle. The institute shortlists candidates on their CAT 2026 score; the exam is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Shortlisted candidates then appear for the institute’s selection rounds, reported this cycle as essay writing, extempore and a personal interview.
Who can apply
Applicants need a recognised bachelor’s degree of at least three years with 50 percent marks, 45 percent for SC, ST and PwD candidates. Students in the final year of graduation can apply, with proof of their degree required later. There is no age limit.
MBA (BA) applicants face one extra requirement: they must have studied mathematics or statistics at the graduation level, hold a BTech or BE degree, or have mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 level.
Fees and how to apply
The application fee is Rs 3,000 for MBA (IB) and Rs 2,000 for MBA (BA) for General, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, and Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000 respectively for SC, ST and PwD candidates. The fee is non-refundable.
