The Indian Council of Agricultural Research releases the Round 3 seat allotment for ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 today, October 12, from 11 AM. Candidates who get a seat have a short window to hold it: the seat acceptance fee must be paid by 4 PM on October 13, 2026. Results will be available on the official ICAR counselling portal, under Applicant Login.

Who this counselling is for

ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 counselling covers postgraduate programmes in agriculture and allied sciences, excluding the veterinary stream. Seats are offered at central and state agricultural universities and deemed universities across India, including Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore. Allotment is based on the candidate’s ICAR AIEEA PG rank, the preferences filled, the category, and seat availability.

Round 3 schedule

• Round 3 seat allotment: October 12, 2026, from 11 AM
• Payment of seat acceptance fee: by 4 PM on October 13, 2026

To check the result, open the ICAR counselling portal, click Applicant Login, and enter your application number, password and the security code shown on screen. Download the allotment letter once it appears, and save the payment confirmation for later.

Hold the seat in time

Once the allotment shows, pay the acceptance fee on the portal and generate the provisional admission letter, which you will need later. Universities also verify the documents of allotted candidates. If a university raises a query or asks for a corrected document, respond within the window it gives. Missing the fee deadline or leaving a document query unanswered can cost you the seat, so check the account registered with the counselling portal regularly. Our admission documents checklist covers what to keep scanned and ready.

The upgradation rule

Candidates who took a seat in an earlier round and opted for upgradation should read this part carefully. According to the ICAR AIEEA PG counselling brochure, if you are allotted a better preference in a later round, you must accept it. Your earlier seat is forfeited automatically, and you cannot ask to keep it. If no better preference is allotted, you continue to hold the seat you already have. Since there is no way to refuse an upgrade and fall back on the old allotment, fill your preferences in the order you actually want.

What comes next

• Round 4 allotment: October 15, 2026, from 11 AM
• Round 4 fee payment: October 15–16, 2026
• Mop-up round choice filling: October 19–21, 2026
• Mop-up round allotment: October 23, 2026
• Mop-up round fee payment: October 23–24, 2026

If Round 3 does not give you a seat, keep your documents verified and your preferences updated for the next round. The university comparison guide helps weigh your options before you lock preferences for Round 4 or the mop-up round.
