Candidates who have already registered for CLAT 2027 have six days left to fix mistakes in their forms. The Consortium of National Law Universities has opened the application correction window, and it closes at 11:59 pm on November 10, 2026. After that hour, the Consortium says, no request for a change will be accepted.

The window matters because a wrong entry in a law entrance form tends to surface at the worst possible stage, during admit card download or counselling, when there is little time to sort it out. This is the one stretch in the schedule where the form can still be edited online.

What can be changed

Candidates can update their preferred test city, and correct their name, date of birth, the programme applied for (undergraduate or postgraduate), and reservation eligibility. The Consortium issued the correction notice on November 3, according to Edex Live.

One point needs care. The window edits details on a form that already exists. It does not reopen registration, and it does not extend any other deadline. Candidates should check each corrected entry against the original certificate before saving, since the corrected version is what will appear on later records. How to make the change

Log in to the candidate account on the official CLAT 2027 portal, select the Edit Application option, and open the Preferences section to change test city choices. Other editable fields sit in the same application form. Save the changes and download the updated confirmation page, so there is a record of what was corrected.

Two cities removed from the list

Vellore and Tiruvarur have been removed from the CLAT 2027 test centre list. Candidates who had picked either city as a preference should use this window to select a different city. Leaving the old preference in place risks an allotment the candidate did not intend, so this is the edit to make first if it applies.

Registration is a separate deadline

Fresh applications for CLAT 2027 remain open till November 7, 2026, by 11:59 pm. The Consortium extended that deadline from October 31. Anyone who has not applied yet should file the fresh form before November 7, rather than waiting for the correction window, which closes three days later and serves a different purpose.

CLAT scores are used for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes at the participating National Law Universities, including the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru and NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad. The examination will be held on December 6, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
