Nine days and counting. The regular registration window for CEED 2027 closes on October 31, 2026. IIT Bombay is the organising institute, and design aspirants are advised to avoid the last-day rush, when heavy traffic can slow the portal down.
CEED, the Common Entrance Examination for Design, is the national qualifying test for Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD in Design programmes. UCEED 2027, the undergraduate counterpart for Bachelor of Design programmes, is running on the same timeline, with its exam scheduled on the same day.
Fees and the late-fee window
The application fee is Rs 2,000 for female, SC, ST and PwD candidates, and Rs 4,000 for everyone else. The regular window stays open till 11:59 PM on October 31.
Miss that date and you get one more week. Registrations with a Rs 500 late fee are accepted from November 1 till 5 PM on November 6, 2026. After that, the portal closes for good. The detailed eligibility rules are in the official information brochure on the CEED portal.

CEED 2027 will be held on January 17, 2027, in a single shift from 9 AM to 12 noon at test centres across the country. UCEED 2027 runs the same day and the same shift.
How to apply on the CEED portal
Register on the official CEED portal with your name, email ID, mobile number and date of birth, then create a password for the applicant account. Fill in personal, communication and education details, pick three exam cities in order of preference, and upload your photograph, signature and degree certificate. Pay the fee online and save a copy of the confirmation page.
