The last window for Bihar’s medical aspirants closes tonight. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the rank card for the UGMAC 2026 stray vacancy round on October 25, and candidates have until 11:59 pm today to fill, edit and lock their college choices.
This is the final counselling phase under UGMAC 2026. The round covers vacant MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. seats in government and private colleges across Bihar. Once the choice-locking window closes tonight, no further changes will be possible, so candidates should check the rank card first and then lock choices in the order they actually want.
Why the dates moved
The schedule changed twice. Registration for the stray round first opened on October 19 and was set to close on October 21. BCECEB then issued advisory BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/16 on October 22, pushing registration and editing to October 24 at 10 pm and fee payment to 11:59 pm the same night.
The board extended the window after candidates reported server and technical problems that stopped them from submitting consent and choices on time. That extension shifted every later event, which is why the rank card, choice locking and allotment all land on the dates they do now.
Who can take part
The round is for candidates who registered for UGMAC 2026 and hold a valid NEET UG 2026 scorecard, along with Bihar domicile proof where the rules require it. Candidates already admitted through the all-India quota cannot participate. BCECEB has also published the stray-round seat matrix on its portal, so candidates can match their rank against the actual vacancies before they lock choices.
What happens next
The provisional seat allotment result is scheduled for October 27. Candidates who get a seat can download the provisional allotment order between October 27 and October 29, and document verification with admission follows on October 28 and 29 at the allotted college.
Candidates should carry their original documents for verification. Our admission documents checklist covers the papers colleges usually ask for, and the central, state and private university guide explains how state counselling like this one differs from the all-India quota track.
Anyone who has not yet locked choices should do it well before the 11:59 pm deadline rather than waiting for the final hour, given that server trouble already forced one extension in this round. Check the allotment result on October 27 on the official BCECEB portal, and keep the downloaded allotment order safe for verification day.
