October 27 is the day Bihar’s medical aspirants have been waiting for in the final round of state counselling. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is scheduled to release the provisional seat allotment result for the UGMAC 2026 stray vacancy round today. Candidates who took part in the round can check whether they have been given one of the seats still vacant after the earlier rounds.
The stray vacancy round is the last chance in this counselling cycle for undergraduate medical and dental seats in the state. It covers MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. and A.H., and B.F.Sc. programmes in government and private institutions across Bihar, including colleges affiliated to Bihar University of Health Sciences. Only candidates who completed choice filling in this round are in line for allotment.
The road to today’s result was short and crowded into a few days. Fresh registration for the stray round closed on October 24, after the board extended the original timeline. The stray vacancy rank card followed on October 25, and candidates had till 11:59 pm that same night to fill, edit and lock their choices. Anyone who missed the choice locking step is not part of today’s allotment, even if they registered.
How to check the allotment result
Go to the official BCECEB portal. Open the UGMAC 2026 section and look for the stray vacancy round provisional seat allotment result link. Log in with your UGMAC ID and date of birth, then check the allotted college and course shown against your name.
Download the provisional allotment order from the same login and keep a printed copy with you. The download window runs from October 27 to October 29, 2026. Read the order carefully when you get it. The college name, course and quota on that order are what the reporting centre will work from, so any mismatch is worth noticing before you travel.
What happens after allotment
Allotted candidates have to complete document verification and report for admission on October 28 and October 29, 2026. That is a two-day window, and it starts the day after the result. Original certificates, the NEET UG scorecard, the allotment order and identity proof are the papers candidates are usually asked to produce at this stage. Our admission documents checklist runs through the certificates most often needed, so it is worth going through that list before leaving home.
Candidates who do not find their name in the allotment list have no further step in this round. The stray vacancy round closes out the UGMAC 2026 counselling for these courses, so the result today settles who gets the remaining seats.
