Registration for Round 3 of AYUSH UG counselling 2026 opens today, October 14, and candidates have six days to complete it. The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) runs the registration and fee payment window from October 14 to October 20, with the allotment result scheduled for October 23.
The Round 3 timeline
Registration closes at 2 pm on October 20; fee payment stays open till 5 pm that day. Choice filling begins on October 15, and choices must be locked between 2 pm and 11:55 pm on October 20. AACCC processes the allotment on October 21 and 22, declares the result on October 23, and asks allotted candidates to report to their institutes between October 24 and October 29.
How to register
Head to the official AACCC portal and register with your NEET UG 2026 details. Fee payment must be completed by the cutoff; a registration without payment does not count for allotment. Fill and lock your choices between October 15 and October 20, and keep a printout. Locked choices cannot be edited. Keep the NEET admit card and scorecard, allotment letter, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, and a photo ID ready for reporting; our admission documents checklist covers the rest.
Which seats are in play
AACCC handles the all-India quota seats in government and government-aided colleges, plus seats of central universities, national institutes, and deemed universities. That puts institutes such as Banaras Hindu University’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, and the National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur in the choice list. Admission is based on NEET UG 2026 scores across BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS programmes. A stray vacancy round follows in November for whatever is left after Round 3.
61 Ayurveda colleges barred this year
Choice filling deserves extra care this year. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has withheld recognition from 61 Ayurveda colleges for the 2026-27 session, 12 of them in Madhya Pradesh, over alleged non-compliance with prescribed standards. The alleged lapses include refusal to permit inspections, gaps in inpatient and outpatient services, teaching staff shortages, and irregularities in the working of the colleges and their attached hospitals, according to the Ayush Medical Association’s national spokesperson Dr Rakesh Pandey. Recognition was also withdrawn from one college each in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. Of the more than 600 Ayurveda colleges in the country, 494 hold valid recognition. Check a college’s recognition status before placing it in your choice list.
Madhya Pradesh: separate schedule, separate portal
MP candidates do not follow the AACCC timeline. The state Directorate of AYUSH runs Round 3 registration from October 14 to October 16 on the official MP portal, with edits allowed till 5 pm on October 17 and document verification at help centres from October 15 to October 17. The vacant seat list and merit list come out on October 21. Choice filling and locking run October 28 to 30, the allotment is declared on November 3, and reporting at the allotted college runs November 4 to 6. The Free Press Journal reported that nearly 70 percent of MP’s AYUSH seats were still vacant after Round 2, quoting the Ayush Medical Association’s Dr Rakesh Pandey, and that some of the suspended colleges have moved the high court against the NCISM decision.
