If you are waiting on one more seat through AP PGECET 2026 counselling, the last round now has dates. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has published the final-phase schedule: seat allotments for GATE and GPAT candidates will be declared on October 21, after 6 pm, and the AP PGECET rank-holder allotment will follow on October 24, after 6 pm.

What happens on October 21 and 24

October 21 is for candidates with valid GATE or GPAT scores. Their seat allotment comes out after 6 pm, and allotted candidates must complete self-reporting and report to their college between October 22 and October 23.

October 24 is for AP PGECET 2026 rank holders. Their allotment is declared after 6 pm, with self-reporting and college reporting scheduled from October 25 to October 28.

This is the final phase of counselling, so no further round will follow for 2026-27 admissions.

Fresh web options were mandatory

Everyone joining the final phase had to fill web options afresh. Options entered during the first phase do not carry over to this round. Registration, fee payment and certificate verification ran on October 16 and 17, web options were filled on the same two days, and candidates could modify their choices until 10 pm on October 18.

Candidates satisfied with their earlier allotment did not need to participate again. Those seeking an upgraded seat had to join the final phase. There is no special-category certificate verification in this round, and candidates who paid the counselling fee in the first phase do not pay again.

Reporting rules: complete both steps

Allotted candidates must complete both online self-reporting and physical reporting at their college within the prescribed dates. Missing either step cancels the allotment. Carry original documents and photocopies of all relevant certificates, and keep the admission fee ready, since the fee varies by college and course.

One important condition: if a new seat is allotted to you in the final phase, you lose your claim to the seat allotted earlier. Check the schedule and be sure about your preferences before the allotments are declared.

Our admission documents checklist covers the certificates and identity proofs colleges usually ask for at reporting.

Who this counselling covers

AP PGECET counselling is the centralised online process APSCHE runs for postgraduate engineering and pharmacy admissions in Andhra Pradesh. It covers M.Tech, M.Pharmacy and Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) seats across roughly 333 colleges affiliated to 17 universities in the state. GATE and GPAT candidates get first preference in seat allotment, and they are eligible for the central postgraduate stipend of Rs 12,400 per month at eligible colleges.

Results will be published on the official AP Common Admissions Portal. Classes for the 2026-27 session have already commenced, so allotted candidates should report within the prescribed dates to avoid losing their seat.
