Degree aspirants in Andhra Pradesh have one day left to fix their college choices. Today, October 28, is the day set aside to change the web options saved for AP OAMDC Phase 3 counselling. The window to enter options ran on October 26 and 27, and whatever order a candidate leaves saved at the end of today will decide the seat allotment.
AP OAMDC is the Online Admission Module for Degree Colleges, run by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education and the Commissionerate of Higher Education. It fills undergraduate degree seats across government, aided and private colleges in the state on the basis of Intermediate marks. There is no entrance test for these seats. Allotment follows merit, the reservation rules of the state government, and the order of options a candidate saves.
Who can take part in Phase 3
Phase 3 is open to four groups of candidates. The first group is those who registered earlier but were not allotted a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2. The second is candidates who were allotted a seat earlier but did not report to the college. The third is candidates who took a seat earlier and now want a better college or course. The fourth is fresh registrants who missed the first two phases entirely.
To be eligible, a candidate must have passed the Intermediate examination or an equivalent qualifying examination. The counselling covers general undergraduate programmes such as BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BVoc and BFA, along with five-year integrated postgraduate programmes. Engineering and pharmacy streams are not part of this process.
The Phase 3 schedule
The dates published for this round are short, and each step has a fixed day:
- Web options entry: October 26 to 27, 2026
- Change of web options: October 28, 2026
- Seat allotment: October 30, 2026
- Reporting to the allotted college: October 30 to November 2, 2026
Candidates who have not yet entered any options should do so before the change window closes, since no options means no allotment. Those who already saved options should use today to check the order once more. Putting a preferred college lower down the list by mistake is hard to undo once allotment is processed.
Fresh registrants in this phase pay a non-refundable processing fee online. The fee is Rs 400 for OC candidates, Rs 300 for BC candidates, and Rs 200 for SC and ST candidates. Candidates who already registered and paid in an earlier phase do not need to pay again.
What to do after allotment
Allotted candidates should download the allotment order from the portal and report in person at the allotted college within the reporting window. The instructions ask candidates to carry two printouts of the allotment order and two sets of photocopies of their certificates. An OTP sent to the registered mobile number confirms the reporting at the college.
Missing the reporting window has a clear cost. A provisional allotment that is not reported stands cancelled, and the seat goes back into the pool for later admission rounds. Candidates who are not eligible for fee reimbursement have to pay the full fee after the final phase of counselling.
Candidates still deciding between colleges can read our how to choose a university in India guide, and those getting their papers ready for reporting should check the admission documents checklist so nothing is left for the last day. The official schedule and the option entry link are on the official Common Admissions Portal, and candidates should verify any change in dates there before travelling to a college.
