Registration for the last round of AP NEET UG counselling for 2026-27 closes at 2 PM today, November 6. The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada opened the Special Stray Round on November 4 for vacant Management Quota MBBS and BDS seats, and only candidates who have not secured a seat in any earlier round can apply.

The university has already held Phase 1, Phase 2, and a stray vacancy round for Management Quota seats. This round fills seats left vacant after withdrawals or non-reporting. Candidates who miss it cannot join an MBBS or BDS course in Andhra Pradesh this year through state counselling.

The schedule

The schedule, from the official notification, moves fast from here.

The university releases a fresh vacancy list on its portal before registration opens, so candidates should check which MBBS and BDS seats are available before applying.

Who can apply

Only candidates who did not secure a seat in earlier rounds may apply. Applicants need a valid NEET UG 2026 scorecard issued by the National Testing Agency, and they must meet the local or non-local eligibility conditions set by the university. Local status is based on where the candidate studied Classes 9 to 12.

Students who joined a college earlier and later resigned may apply under the notification rules. Candidates who currently hold a seat elsewhere must declare their status truthfully when they register.

How to register

Registration is online only, through the official NTRUHS portal. Candidates click the Special Stray Round registration link, enter their NEET UG 2026 roll number, fill in Class 12 marks, local area, and category, upload the required documents, pay the processing fee online, and submit. The confirmation receipt should be saved.

Fresh registration and fee payment are mandatory for this round, even for candidates who registered in earlier rounds. After registration, candidates take part in the choice-filling exercise. Seat allotment is based on NEET UG merit, category, and preference order.

Documents to keep ready

The notification lists the documents candidates need: the NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 marks memorandums, the transfer certificate, study certificates covering Classes 9 to 12, caste and income certificates where applicable, a local status certificate, an Aadhaar card, and recent passport-size photographs. Any special category certificate being claimed should be ready too.

Our admission documents checklist covers what most institutes ask for at verification, so read it before starting the form.

What comes after registration

The list of eligible candidates appears on the portal at 8 PM tonight. Web options entry for MBBS Category-C (NRI lapsed) seats runs from 9 AM on November 7 to 11 AM on November 9, and allotments follow on November 9.
