The deadline arrives at 5 PM today. Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, will close the registration window for Andhra Pradesh NEET PG 2026 counselling under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) this evening, October 21.
The window opened on October 14 and covers state-quota (Category A) seats for PG medical degree and diploma courses in the 2026-27 academic session. Anyone who has not submitted the form by 5 PM today gets one more chance on October 22, but it will cost Rs 20,000 extra. The late-fee window stays open from 9 AM to 10 PM that day, and nothing is accepted after it closes.
The fees and how to pay
For the regular window, the registration and processing fee is Rs 7,000 for OC/BC candidates and Rs 6,000 for SC/ST candidates who completed their MBBS in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who did their MBBS outside the state pay an additional verification charge, and it is higher still for those who studied outside India. Whoever applies on October 22 pays Rs 20,000 over and above the fee they owe.
All registration, processing and late fees are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against anything else, so it is worth double-checking every detail before paying.
Applications go through the official CQ counselling portal. Merit lists and subsequent announcements will appear on the university’s official admission site.
Who the CQ seats are for
The Competent Authority Quota is Andhra Pradesh’s state-quota counselling for MD, MS and PG Diploma seats in government and private medical colleges. About 85% of these seats are reserved for local candidates, with the remaining 15% going to the APUR unreserved category.
Only NEET PG 2026 qualifiers can apply. They must also satisfy the university’s internship and registration conditions laid out in the prospectus, which is worth reading in full before submitting. The admission documents checklist covers the certificates and paperwork most candidates need to keep ready.
What happens after the window closes
NTRUHS will verify the documents and certificates submitted, then publish the merit lists. Only candidates who make the final merit list will be allowed to exercise web options for seat allotment.
The university has not announced dates for the merit lists or web options yet. Candidates should watch the official site rather than rely on forwarded messages, and remember that submitting an application does not guarantee a seat.
This deadline is separate from the management quota window, which NTRUHS opened on October 19 and runs till 10 PM on October 23. The two quotas have different portals, fee structures and conditions, so make sure the application goes to the right one. You can read more about the counselling body on the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences profile page.
