Law aspirants in Andhra Pradesh get one more window from tomorrow. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) opens AP LAWCET 2026 Phase 2 counselling registration on October 26, 2026, and the window stays open only until October 28. This is the final counselling phase for the year, so anyone still waiting for a law seat needs to act inside those three days.

The phase covers admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes at participating law colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Seats left vacant after Phase 1, along with seats that opened up when allotted candidates did not report, will be filled in this round. Candidates who missed Phase 1 entirely can enter now, and candidates who took part earlier but did not secure a seat can try again for the remaining places.

The full Phase 2 schedule

Registration and fee payment run from October 26 to October 28, 2026. Online certificate verification runs alongside it, from October 26 to October 29. That overlap matters: a candidate whose documents are still unverified when the next step opens can lose time, so uploading clear certificates on the first day is the safer move.

Web option entry opens on October 28 and closes on October 30. This is where candidates list their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority, and the order carries real weight. A seat is allotted based on rank, category, and the preference list, so the list should reflect genuine choices, college by college. APSCHE allows one day to change submitted options, on October 31, before processing begins.

The Phase 2 seat allotment result comes out on November 4, 2026. Self-reporting and joining at the allotted college open on November 5. The allotment letter will carry the exact reporting instructions for each candidate, and those instructions are the ones to follow.

Who needs to register, and who does not

New candidates must complete registration and fee payment on the portal between October 26 and October 28. Candidates who already registered and paid the fee in Phase 1 do not need to register or pay again. That distinction is easy to miss in the rush, and paying twice solves nothing, so Phase 1 candidates should log in with their existing credentials and check their status before starting a fresh application.

Registration happens on the official Common Admissions Portal (CAP). Open the AP LAWCET 2026 admissions section, fill in the required details, pay the fee where it applies, and keep the payment receipt. The portal is also where verification updates, web option entry, and the allotment result will appear, so one login covers the whole phase.

Getting the paperwork and the preference list right

Certificate verification decides whether a candidate stays in the race, so the document set needs to be ready before October 26. The usual set includes the AP LAWCET scorecard and hall ticket, qualifying-exam marksheets and certificates, the transfer certificate, caste or income certificates where they apply, and a government photo ID. Our admission documents checklist walks through the full list, and checking it now beats discovering a missing certificate during verification.

The preference list deserves the same care. Before web options open on October 28, candidates should compare colleges on faculty strength, location, fees, and placement support, and rank them on that evidence. Our guide to choosing a university sets out how to weigh those factors. A thoughtful list, entered early and reviewed once during the October 31 editing window, gives a candidate the best shot at a seat they will actually want to take.

With registration closing on October 28 and allotment due on November 4, the timeline leaves little room for a second attempt. Candidates planning to enter Phase 2 should have their documents scanned, their login details at hand, and their college preferences roughly decided before the portal opens tomorrow.
