Today is the last day for Phase 1 seat-allotted candidates to report at their law colleges. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has extended the college reporting deadline for AP LAWCET 2026 Phase 1 counselling to October 13, 2026, giving candidates a few extra days to finish their admission formalities.
The extra time was needed. The Phase 1 seat allotment was itself pushed back by a day, releasing on October 7 instead of October 6, which left the original reporting window of October 7 to 9 too tight for many candidates. APSCHE has now revised the schedule and set October 13 as the last date to report.
Who needs to report today
The counselling covers admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes at participating law colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Anyone who received a seat in the first phase needs to complete self-reporting and report at the allotted college by the end of today to confirm the admission. An allotment that is not followed by reporting lapses, and the seat goes back into the pool for the next phase.
How to confirm your admission
Start on the official Common Admissions Portal (CAP). Open the AP LAWCET 2026 admissions section, log in with your registered credentials, and download the allotment letter. Save a copy on your phone and take a printout: it carries the specific instructions you need to finish admission at the college.
Then report at the allotted college with the required documents. The standard set runs through the AP LAWCET scorecard and hall ticket, qualifying-exam marksheets and certificates, the transfer certificate, caste or income certificates where they apply, and a government photo ID. Our admission documents checklist covers the full list, so nothing goes missing on the day.
If the allotted college was not your first choice
This is the decision point for candidates sitting on a lower-preference seat. Confirming it today means the admission is secure and you stay in the system for the next phase. Skipping it means the seat is gone for good. Candidates comparing colleges on faculty, location and cost should read our guide to choosing a university before they head out.
What comes next
Once Phase 1 reporting closes, the seats that remain vacant move to the next counselling phase. Candidates who did not get a seat, or skipped the first round, should keep their login details ready and watch the CAP portal for the next notification.
