Candidates who are still waiting for a law seat in Andhra Pradesh have until today, October 30, 2026, to finish one step that decides where they land. The final-phase web option entry for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2026 counselling closes today, and a candidate who has not entered preferences by the end of the window will have no choices for the system to consider when seats are allotted.
This is the second and final phase of the centralised counselling run by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and the state Higher Education Department. It covers admission to three-year and five-year LLB programmes through AP LAWCET and to LLM programmes through AP PGLCET, at participating law colleges across the state, including Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University in Visakhapatnam.
Who can enter web options today
Only candidates who registered for this phase and completed certificate verification can exercise web options. Registration for the final phase ran from October 26 to October 28, and online certificate verification continued until October 29. The web option window itself runs from October 28 to October 30.
On the portal, candidates log in with their application number, date of birth and an OTP, then select colleges and courses in order of preference. That order matters. Allotment is processed on the basis of the entrance exam rank, the preferences entered, and the applicable reservation rules, so a careless order can cost a candidate a seat they would otherwise have got.
Candidates should enter as many genuine preferences as they are willing to accept. Listing only one or two popular colleges narrows the chances of an allotment in a round with no later phase to fall back on.
What happens after today
The schedule leaves one more chance to correct mistakes. A window to edit web options is set for October 31, 2026. Candidates who entered their preferences in a hurry today should use that day to check the order again, remove any college they would not actually join, and make sure the list reflects what they want.
The final-phase seat allotment result is scheduled for November 4, 2026. Candidates who receive a seat must then complete self-reporting between November 5 and 7, 2026, and report to the allotted college within the dates given in the allotment order. Missing the reporting window can lead to the seat being forfeited, so allotted candidates should keep their original certificates ready. Our admission documents checklist sets out the papers that are usually asked for at reporting.
All steps in this phase are handled online through the official Common Admissions Portal. Candidates should check only that portal for the allotment result and the reporting instructions, and they should not rely on messages or posts that claim to carry the result earlier.
