Tomorrow is the last day to file a BBA application at Aligarh Muslim University. The Controller of Examinations has extended the 2026-27 BBA deadline to October 19, opening the window once more to fill vacant seats at the main campus in Aligarh.
AMU’s main admission cycle closed earlier this year, so anyone who missed the earlier round gets one final opening. The extension came through an official notification from the Controller of Examinations, and all applications have to go through the university’s admission portal.
What the extension covers
The revised deadline applies to the three-year BBA programme at the Aligarh main campus for the 2026-27 session. The university is admitting candidates against vacant seats on merit, with applications accepted online only through the official AMU Controller of Examinations portal.
Eligibility follows the standard norms for the programme. Candidates need a pass in Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate. Students from any stream, science, commerce or humanities, can apply.
How to apply before the window closes
The application runs through the usual steps on the portal: register with a valid email ID and mobile number, fill in personal and academic details, upload the required documents and pay the application fee online, then submit. Download the confirmation page and the payment receipt before logging out.
Have your documents ready before you start. A checklist of the usual admission documents covers the scanned marksheets, photograph and signature, plus category or disability certificates where they apply. Check the portal’s upload specifications for photo and signature sizes before submitting.
Submit early rather than at the last minute. Admission portals slow down near deadlines, and a technical failure in the final hours leaves no room for a retry because October 19 is a hard cutoff.
What happens after the deadline
AMU will process the applications against the vacant seats on merit and publish the merit list and counselling schedule on the Controller of Examinations portal. Watch the portal directly for those updates once the deadline passes.
Aligarh Muslim University is a central university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, with 13 faculties, 117 departments and more than 37,000 students. Most of its undergraduate programmes admit through the university’s own entrance tests.
