Registration for the first round of AIAPGET postgraduate counselling opened on Friday, October 30, three days after the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) put the whole process on hold. Candidates who qualified AIAPGET 2026 can now register for MD and MS seats in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy and Sowa Rigpa, and the window is short: it closes on November 3.
The restart follows a confusing week for applicants. AACCC published the original counselling schedule on October 20, then withheld the process on October 27, citing administrative reasons, a day before choice filling was due to begin. The committee has now published a revised schedule and seat matrix, and the cycle starts again from Round 1.
Round 1 dates to mark
Registration and payment run from October 30 to November 3. Forms must be submitted by 2 pm on November 3, while the fee payment link stays open till 5 pm that day. Choice filling and locking run through the same period, till 11:55 pm on November 3, with a final locking window from 2 pm to 11:55 pm on November 3 for candidates who want to reorder their choices.
AACCC will process the allotment on November 4 and publish the Round 1 result on November 5. Candidates who get a seat must report to the allotted institute between November 6 and 13. Joined candidate data will be verified on November 14.
One detail matters more than usual this time. The seat matrix has been revised along with the schedule, so choices shortlisted under the old matrix may no longer match the seats on offer. Candidates should download the updated matrix from the portal and check participating institutes and course-wise vacancies before locking anything.
What comes after Round 1
The revised calendar covers three regular rounds and a stray vacancy round. Round 2 registration runs from November 16 to 19, with its allotment result due on November 21 and reporting from November 22 to 26. Round 3 registration runs from November 30 to December 2, with the result on December 4 and reporting from December 5 to 10.
The central process covers a defined pool of postgraduate AYUSH seats, including 15 percent All India Quota seats of government and government-aided colleges, all seats of central universities and national institutes, all deemed university seats, and the internal seats of Banaras Hindu University’s Faculty of Ayurveda.
How to register
Registration happens only on the official AACCC portal. Open the Round 1 registration link, choose new registration, and enter your AIAPGET roll number, password and security pin. Fill the form, upload the required documents, pay the fee and submit before the November 3 cutoffs.
Keep the documents ready before you start: the AIAPGET 2026 scorecard and admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, the BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS or equivalent degree certificate, the internship completion certificate, the state Ayush board registration certificate, a government photo identity proof, and a category or PwD certificate if applicable. The admission documents checklist covers the same set in one place.
Candidates who miss Round 1 can still enter later rounds, since each round opens fresh registration.
