Uttar Pradesh में higher education का विस्तार सिर्फ Lucknow, Prayagraj और Kanpur तक सीमित नहीं रह गया है। Western UP और Rohilkhand region — यानी Meerut, Moradabad और Bareilly — में भी अब quality higher education की नई सुबह आ रही है।
UP Legislative Assembly ने हाल ही में Kashi Naresh PG College, Bhadohi को University और Swami Shukdevanand University, Shahjahanpur बनाने के Bills pass किए हैं। UP Budget 2026-27 में नई universities के लिए ₹21-₹50 crore का allocation हुआ है। इसके अलावा UP Higher Education Department ने Moradabad, Bareilly और Meerut जैसे tier-2 cities में नए government degree colleges खोलने की तैयारी की है।
