National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 — भारत की 34 साल बाद आई नई शिक्षा नीति — अब Uttar Pradesh में तेज़ी से लागू हो रही है। UP सिर्फ इसे implement करने वाले leading states में से एक नहीं — UP ने कुछ reforms बाकी राज्यों से पहले ही शुरू कर दिए हैं।

सबसे बड़ी खबर: UP Board ने 2025-26 से Class 9 में subjects की संख्या 6 से बढ़ाकर 10 कर दी है। यह NEP 2020 की multidisciplinary learning policy के तहत है। Class 10 में यह बदलाव 2026-27 से लागू होगा। तीन भाषाओं का formula — Hindi mandatory + 2 more languages चुनने का option — अब UP में officially लागू है।

UP BOARD SCHOOL STUDENTS के लिए — क्या बदल रहा है?

बदलाव 1 — Class 9 में अब 10 Subjects (2025-26 से)

पहले UP Board Class 9 में 6 subjects थे। NEP 2020 के तहत अब Class 9 में 10 subjects होंगे। यह change 2025-26 academic session से Class 9 में शुरू हो चुका है और 2026-27 से Class 10 में भी लागू होगा।

Compulsory subjects (सभी के लिए):

• Hindi (mandatory)
• Language 2 — English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi आदि में से choose करें
• Language 3 — ऊपर की list में से एक और language (अलग)
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Science

Elective subject (एक choose करना होगा):

• Home Science, Anthropology, Commerce, NCC, Computer Science, Agriculture, Environmental Science — इनमें से एक

इसका फायदा: Science student अब Commerce या Arts का एक subject भी ले सकता है। Streams की rigid boundary खत्म होने लगी है।

बदलाव 2 — 3-Language Formula (UP Board में लागू)

UP में NEP 2020 का 3-language formula लागू हो चुका है:

• Language 1 — Hindi: सभी UP Board students के लिए mandatory
• Language 2 and 3: Sanskrit, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi — इनमें से choose कर सकते हैं
• UP में students Tamil, Telugu जैसी South Indian languages भी third language के रूप में ले रहे हैं — यह भारतीय भाषाओं की unity का एक नया उदाहरण है

बदलाव 3 — No Detention Policy खत्म

पहले Class 8 तक किसी भी student को fail नहीं किया जाता था — यह “No Detention Policy” थी। NEP 2020 के तहत यह policy खत्म हो गई है।

• Class 5 और Class 8 में fail होने पर अब 2 महीने में re-exam देना होगा
• Re-exam में भी fail होने पर उसी class में रोका जाएगा
• यह accountability बढ़ाने और learning gaps address करने का तरीका है

बदलाव 4 — Coding और AI Class 6 से

NEP 2020 के तहत Coding Class 6 से mandatory हो रही है। UP के government schools में 5,000 smart classrooms बन रहे हैं (₹300 crore budget)। UP के 19 ITIs में AI Labs। AI-based tools का integration school curriculum में धीरे-धीरे हो रहा है।

बदलाव 5 — Board Exams का नया Pattern

NEP 2020 के तहत 2026-27 से Board Exams में बड़े बदलाव होंगे:

• Year में 2 बार exam — एक main और एक improvement exam का option

बदलाव 6 — NIPUN Bharat — Foundational Learning

NIPUN Bharat Mission (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) के तहत 2026-27 तक हर Class 3 का बच्चा बुनियादी literacy और numeracy achieve करे — यह target है। UP में 32,480 schools “NIPUN Vidyalaya” बन चुकी हैं।

Class 10–12 के छात्रों के लिए जरूरी जानकारी

अगर आप अभी Class 10 या 12 में हैं — NEP आपको directly affect करती है:

• Class 10 (2026-27 से 10 subjects): Elective subject wisely choose करें — Computer Science या Commerce लेना future options बढ़ा सकता है
• Board exam pattern बदलेगा: Rote learning कम, understanding ज्यादा — NCERT concepts deeply समझें

HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS के लिए — NEP 2020 में क्या बदला?

बदलाव 1 — FYUP (Four Year Undergraduate Programme)

सबसे बड़ा बदलाव: UG degree अब 4 साल की। UP की major universities — Lucknow University, Allahabad University, BHU — में 2022-23 से FYUP शुरू हो चुका है।

Multiple Entry-Exit System (MEES):

• 1 साल बाद exit: Undergraduate Certificate मिलेगा
• 2 साल बाद exit: Undergraduate Diploma मिलेगा
• 3 साल बाद exit: Bachelor’s Degree (3-year) मिलेगी
• 4 साल पूरे: Bachelor’s Degree with Honours या Honours with Research मिलेगी

इसका practical मतलब: अगर बीच में पढ़ाई छोड़नी पड़े — degree waste नहीं होगी। 2 साल बाद diploma लेकर job join कर सकते हैं, और बाद में वापस आकर degree complete कर सकते हैं।

बदलाव 2 — Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)

ABC ID (abcid.nats.ac.in) — आज ही बनाएं। यह एक digital repository है जहाँ आपके सभी academic credits store होते हैं।

• एक university के credits दूसरी university में transfer हो सकते हैं
• Online courses (SWAYAM, DIKSHA) के credits भी यहाँ add हो सकते हैं
• UPRTOU और कई UP universities ने ABC ID mandatory कर दिया है
• Credits “expire” नहीं होते — आप अपनी pace पर degree complete कर सकते हैं

बदलाव 3 — Multidisciplinary Education

NEP के तहत अब कोई strict stream boundary नहीं:

• Engineering student History या Music भी पढ़ सकता है as minor
• Arts student Mathematics या Computer Science ले सकता है
• UP की private universities (Amity, Chandigarh, Bennett) ने यह पहले से implement किया है
• Government universities में यह 2026-27 तक fully operational होगा

बदलाव 4 — CUET — Common Entrance Test

Students की आम गलतियां — NEP 2020 को लेकर

1. “NEP सिर्फ सरकारी schools के लिए है” — गलत। NEP 2020 private schools, aided schools और universities — सभी पर applicable है। FYUP, ABC, CUET — सब पर।
2. ABC ID न बनाना: abcid.nats.ac.in पर ABC ID बिल्कुल free में बनती है। UPRTOU और अन्य NEP-compliant universities में admission के लिए mandatory है।
3. FYUP के Multiple Exit को weakness मानना: यह option आपकी flexibility के लिए है। 1 साल बाद certificate लेना weakness नहीं — यह आपकी choice है।
4. Stream boundary को rigid मानना: NEP के तहत अब Science student Arts subject ले सकता है। इसका advantage उठाएं — unique skill combination बनाएं।
5. Class 9 में नए subjects से घबराना: 10 subjects लगभग 6 से ज्यादा नहीं लगते क्योंकि हर subject का load balance किया गया है। Elective subject वही choose करें जो genuinely interesting लगे।
6. Board exam pattern को ignore करना: 2026-27 से board exams competency-based होंगे — अभी से NCERT को deeply समझें, सिर्फ रटें नहीं।

Parents को किन बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए

• “English medium खत्म होगा?” — नहीं। NEP की language policy advisory है, mandatory नहीं। English medium schools बंद नहीं होंगे। यह rumor है।
• “Board exams खत्म होंगे?” — नहीं। Board exams रहेंगे — सिर्फ pattern बदलेगा। Competency-based, 2 attempts per year।
• Vocational education को support करें: बच्चे की coding, music, cooking, art में interest है? NEP इसे mainstream career path मानती है। Encourage करें।
