JEECUP 2026 (UP Polytechnic) की exam 15-22 May 2026 को होगी और Result 30 May 2026 को आएगा। Result के बाद अगला सबसे अहम step है — Counselling। JEECUP Counselling 2026 की registration 5 June 2026 से शुरू होगी और last date 15 July 2026 है।

Counselling वो process है जिसके through UP के government, aided और private polytechnic colleges में actual seat allotment होती है। बिना counselling में participate किए — भले ही JEECUP में कितना भी अच्छा rank हो — admission नहीं मिलता। इसलिए counselling को seriously लेना जरूरी है।

JEECUP 2026 Counselling — Structure समझें

JEECUP Counselling 2026 दो phases में होती है — हर phase में multiple rounds:

Phase 1 — Rounds 1, 2 और 3 (UP Domicile Candidates के लिए):

• UP के permanent residents इन rounds में participate करते हैं
• Government, Aided और Private Polytechnic seats
• Group A (Engineering), Group B (Agriculture), Group C (Fashion Design), Group D, Group H (Hotel Management), Group I (Aviation) — सब Phase 1 में

Phase 2 — Rounds 4 और 5 (All States + Minority Quota):

• Phase 1 के बाद vacant seats के लिए
• UP के साथ-साथ दूसरे states के candidates भी participate कर सकते हैं
• Minority Institute Quota — minority institutions में reserved seats
• Group E (Pharmacy) — separate counselling phases with identical schedules

Special/Spot Round: Phase 2 के बाद भी अगर seats बचें तो spot round होता है — usually July के अंत में।

JEECUP 2026 Counselling — Step-by-Step Complete Process

Step 1 — Online Registration (5 June से शुरू)

• Official website jeecup.admissions.nic.in खोलें
• Application Number और Password से login करें (वही जो exam registration में use किया था)
• Counselling के लिए new registration complete करें — basic details verify करें
• Mobile number और email active रखें — सभी updates यहाँ आएंगे

Step 2 — Counselling Fee Payment

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹1,000 (non-refundable counselling registration fee)
• SC/ST: ₹500 (non-refundable counselling registration fee)
• Security Deposit: ₹10,500 (refundable — seat withdraw करने पर वापस मिलती है, minus ₹1,000 administrative charges)
• Total एक साथ pay करना होगा — Online MOPS (Multiple Online Payment System) से: UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking सब accepted
• Fee receipt download करें और safe रखें

Step 3 — Choice Filling (सबसे Critical Step)

यह counselling का सबसे important step है। यहाँ आप अपने preferred institutes और courses choose करते हैं।

• Available polytechnic colleges और courses की list portal पर होगी — district, city, government/private filter करके देख सकते हैं
• अपनी preferences priority order में fill करें — जो सबसे पसंद हो वो पहले, फिर second choice, तीसरी, चौथी…
• जितने ज्यादा choices भरें उतना बेहतर: अगर 1st choice में seat नहीं मिली तो system automatically 2nd, 3rd… try करेगा
• Choices lock करने से पहले एक बार review करें — lock होने के बाद changes possible नहीं
• Pro Tip: Government polytechnic colleges को पहले priority दें — कम fees (₹6,000-₹10,000/साल) और better industry connect

Step 4 — Seat Allotment Result

• Seat allotment rank, choices और seat availability के आधार पर होती है
• Result jeecup.admissions.nic.in पर login करके check करें
• Allotment letter download करें
• अगर seat मिली — तो दो options हैं: Freeze या Float

Step 5 — Freeze vs Float Decision (बहुत Important)

यह decision बहुत सोच-समझकर लेना है:

FREEZE क्या है:

• Allotted seat को permanently accept करना
• आप उस college और course में admission confirm करते हैं
• अगले rounds में आपको upgrade नहीं मिलेगी
• कब choose करें: जब allotted seat आपकी पहली या दूसरी choice हो, या आप उससे satisfied हों

FLOAT क्या है:

• Current allotment accept करते हुए अगले round में better seat के लिए eligible रहना
• अगर better seat मिली — automatically upgrade होगी
• अगर नहीं मिली — current seat बनी रहेगी
• कब choose करें: जब आपको लगता है कि better college या branch मिल सकती है अगले round में

Simple rule: Government Polytechnic में अच्छी branch मिल गई → Freeze करें। अच्छी branch नहीं मिली या private में allotment हुई और आप government चाहते हैं → Float रखें।

Step 6 — Seat Acceptance Fee

• Seat accept करने के बाद ₹3,000 seat acceptance fee MOPS से pay करें
• यह fee time-bound है — delay करने पर seat cancel
• यह fee बाद में college admission fees में adjust होती है

Step 7 — Document Verification (District Help Centre)

• अपने district के designated Help Centre पर जाएं
• Original documents और photocopies साथ ले जाएं
• यह step mandatory है — skip करने पर admission cancel
• Help Centre की list jeecup.admissions.nic.in पर मिलेगी

Step 8 — College Reporting

• Document verification के बाद allotted college में जाकर reporting करें
• College fees pay करें और admission complete करें
• Academic session 1 August 2026 से शुरू होगा (expected)

Class 10–12 के छात्रों के लिए जरूरी जानकारी

अगर आपने JEECUP 2026 दिया है और counselling के बारे में समझना चाहते हैं:

• Result 30 May को आएगा — उसके तुरंत बाद 5 June से counselling registration शुरू होगी — एक हफ्ते की तैयारी के साथ तैयार रहें

• Group K (Lateral Entry) — Class 12 PCM 50% या ITI certificate holder — directly 2nd year Diploma में

Students की आम गलतियां — Counselling में

1. Choice Filling में कम options देना: सिर्फ 2-3 colleges choose करने से seat miss हो सकती है। Maximum colleges fill करें — especially government ones।
2. Freeze vs Float का गलत decision: अगर government polytechnic में good branch मिली है — Freeze करें। Float करने पर risk है कि वो seat भी जाए।
3. Security Deposit को forget करना: ₹10,500 security deposit refundable है — लेकिन सिर्फ deadline (August 2026) से पहले seat withdraw करने पर। इसके बाद refund नहीं।
4. Phase 2 को ignore करना: Phase 1 में seat नहीं मिली? Phase 2 में try करें — यहाँ other states के candidates भी हैं जिससे competition थोड़ा different होता है।
5. Document Verification skip करना: Help Centre जाना mandatory है। Virtual या online verification नहीं होती। Missing documents = seat cancel।
6. Seat acceptance deadline miss करना: ₹3,000 seat acceptance fee time-limited है। देरी से seat automatically cancel हो जाती है।

Parents को किन बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए

• Financial planning: Counselling fees: ₹1,000 (registration) + ₹10,500 (security deposit) + ₹3,000 (seat acceptance) = ₹14,500 total upfront। Security deposit refundable है। College fees अलग।
• Government Polytechnic को priority दें: सालाना ₹6,000-₹10,000 fees — private (₹50,000-₹1,50,000) की तुलना में बहुत कम। Quality भी अच्छी।
