Windows 8 is here and it could be termed as one of the boldest and strongest move ever taken by the Microsoft. And mind you, it shows in the product. Windows 8 is the latest operating system created by Microsoft for the next gen computing.

Though this is the operating system for all kind of computer hardware which includes desktop, laptops and tablets, it is designed keeping the future of computing. It is oriented towards touch computing and it could be best experienced on touch enabled devices like tablets and laptops but nonetheless, it is an awesome piece of software.

It is new so it could take some time for the existing users to learn it especially looking at the fact that this is absolutely different than its predecessors. So now you are not going to get start button the way you have got so far but don’t worry, once you learn it, it is going to give you a hell of an experience.
It is available for new and existing devices but the process of upgrading existing desktop and laptops depend upon your current version of windows on your machine.

If you are using windows 7, then it is extremely easy for to upgrade your machine while keeping your documents and current applications.

Well, applications reminded me to tell you that, windows 8 is completely designed like operating system of tablets, so there is a App store and you will have to download Apps from there like you have been doing mostly on Android and Apple’s tablets.

Now there is nothing new with that but as you are use to download software applications in an entirely different way for your windows laptops and desktops, it could be a bit strange for you in the beginning.
Ok, now if you buy a new laptop or desktop, make sure it is loaded with windows 8.
And for existing users, you can upgrade your existing machine to windows 8.

    System Requirements to upgrade
1GHz or faster processor, 1GB RAM (32-bit) or 2GB RAM (64-bit), 16GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20GB (64-bit), DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver. For Modern UI apps a screen with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels is mandatory.

    Current Offers
Existing customers can upgrade their machine by paying Rs1999 till Jan, 2013.

How to Upgrade to Windows 8
Before you upgrade to windows 8, make sure to run a computability check on your existing machine. You can download the software on microsoft’s site which will give you information if software or applications installed on your current machine are compatible with windows 8 or not.
You may have to reinstall few programs or upgrade some of them after installing windows 8 in order to make them work on windows 8.

Please let me know if you have already upgraded or planning to do so. Also, you can post your questions or queries, if any.
